if we do go down whats happens with contracts? are they voided or do they have to be bought out of them...

In today's League Weekly , Ryan B is being linked with Saints, HKR, Wakey, and Toronto,I do think the vultures will circle soon, especially if you get relagated but that's human nature all Clubs try to poach players, a thing you will have to get used to if you go down.

The Players Agents will be in overdrive sorting out deals.
Rubbing their grubby hands at the prospect of getting fees from Clubs and Players. Can the Players not do without these Greedy beggars who make a living out of there efforts.
The RFL should look into the grubby dealings with Clubs and publish the amount of money they take, Football has done it. Rugby League is in Crisis , without Sky it is a part time sport.

Well our flop in the middle 8's last year cost us big time and meant we only ended up with 450k of funding for this season. Made things even harder financially so we have bounced back well to go up this time.

It was particularly hard to take when we had dominated and won the league by a mile only to have Bradford and Fax 'pinch' the big money on the back of a couple of results in the 8's

Except it hasn't really made any difference to you since you have Beaumont who's put his hand in his pocket so you can spend the full (SL) cap instead. Fac and Bradford didn't have that luxury.

I believe it will have been written into some players contracts that if the club is relegated the contract is null and void.Not 100% on this.

super league cap 1.8 if we go down i belive the cap is 1.2 anyway who the hell would wont most of the dross who played last week , if they tried to sell the big issue they would drop them

Talking of ironic, we have Gaskell refusing to p[lay so he doesn't tweak his hamstring before taking up his new contract. As for vultures circling the club I seem to remember something in a phrase about kettles and pots although I can't quite bring it to mind.

Fax no, Bradford though will have spent every bit as much as Leigh. They have had a squad of nearly 50 full time players this season! They haven't even played a lot of them.

Also Leigh haven't spent to full SL cap this season. We were apparently running at 1.4m, still an awful lot for the Championship but necessary in order to compete in the middle 8's.

There's more than just paying wages though isn't there.fact remained Bradford don't have a sugar daddy.

There are already players from yourselves, Salford & Hull KR being offered around to SL clubs & Leigh.

There are already numerous done deals but it's will take time to come out.

Nope, the cap is the same for both now, at £1.85m, though of course that doesn't mean you'll be able to afford to spend up to it.
