| Can anyone tell me what Mullally did wrong during his spell on Sunday?
PA says that he didn't come back on because we needed more mobile players on the field, but in my eyes (and a few folk sat around me) AM had his best spell all season. He was running strong, made a clean break and was putting big tackles in.
He seems vastly under-used to me and he looks visibly frustrated when he is on the side-lines. I feel really sorry for the lad because he has he great potential.
What's everyone else's opinion?

| Think his defence is holding him back, he was dropped earlier in the season for this exact same reason.
anderson see them in training every day too to decide on who plays, is he lazy in training? we only see on the field
does give us some good go forward though at times!
said on another post about andersons comments in todays examiner, sounds like he is panicking off the field and its filters down to the field and we got the errors setting in when we started to 'chase' the game.... 1 point down

| I heard he's not following instructions that's given to him. He's still valued very highly with Anderson and there's no upset over it. It's put it down to experience. He's still seen as a huge work in progress but is believed he can become a real star.

| I'm a big fan of his and I've been disappointed he's not played more minutes this season. I have to assume PA knows what he's doing as he obviously sees a lot more of him than I do but it appears he's not ready to fully trust Mullally at the moment and for me it's not clear why. I must admit I've not noticed his defence being any poorer than some of our other forwards although I have no doubt he has room of improvement as he's got bags of potential that I hope PA is not holding him back from achieving.

| I thought after last year he would become more of a main player than a bit part, can't recall him doing anything majorly wrong so far in his fartown career, i'm a bit baffled why he's still seen as a cover/bit part player than a regular, he always looks good when he has played.
But like other's have said the coach sees him more than we do so maybe there is something we don't see.

| I wouldn't blame him at all if he looked to move on to get more regular rugby elsewhere. He's a family favourite and I'd love to see him play more minutes

| He's got a lot of go forward- but is rather clumsy in defence- he can put on big tackles- but he struggles to "get there" for some tackles if you get what I mean.

| Reminds me of Walmsley in his first year at Saints whenever I've seen him, good solid go forwards, but lacking a certain aggression in defence. If he can find it he has everything going for him.
He's ooc this year isn't he? Do you expect him to stay?

| Will Bruno get dropped due to his lack of go forward? Nah didn't think so, Anderson sent Kafussii to Bradford when he was arguably one of our most aggressive forwards doing damage, did same with Mullally who again is one of our most aggressive forwards, don't really understand this season, Anderson seems to want to play all up the middle and kick deep on 3 and 4 tackle but have a powder puff pack that doesn't dominate games? Everyone can see we get out bullied and outmuscled but we don't play our more aggressive forwards. Ah we'll look forward to Bradford and Leigh in the middle 8's

| Did Lawrence play against Saints?
so cannot really take the rest of your post seriously. Kaufisi could play well in 10 minute spells but other than that was a massive disappointment.

Am I missing something? The play it up the middle thing seems to be thrown at this team and baloo, buts it not what we do. If anything we should be more conservative at times. I think we go wide too early at times.

| Another quality 13 minutes from Mullally!!!
I know he's work in progress but it must be quite demoralising for the lad and in my opinion is a waste of a place on the bench.

I agree use him or drop him.
Not sure what is going on with the selection with Mullally. Not sure what his stats were but made a couple of decent tackles when on.

| Leave the coaching and selection side of the team to Anderson as he seems to know what he's doing when bringing a player through to being a first teamer. Look at Ferres when we signed him, plenty on here were not happy with the signing but a few months later Ferres was a different player to the one we signed and had stepped up to the next level and I'm expecting a gradual increse in game time and performances from Mullally as the season goes on.

| Kopczak was brilliant lastnight, maybe anderson doesnt have faith in mullally or it was tactics that the other 3 would get more game time..who knows
leeming did a big stint, ellis probably feels like mullally after not coming back on for a while, its a team game

| I thought Koppy was quite poor in the first half to be honest and gave some poor penalties away that let to tries but he was a different play in the second half.
I thought Mullally was our best forward in the opening spell and thought he must of been injured but if he wasn't, I just don't get it. Having said that, in the second half I though Eorl, Huby, Ta'ai & Koppy were all outstanding so maybe PA just thought he wasn't needed.

| Feel for mull, but it's jus defence at times. Feel he can struggle against the smaller man too, not the most agile of props. Although against the bigger players he hits up well, and in attack he is great in collision keeps those legs moving and makes some decent meters.
Although I have to say how good it feels to have our pack make meters forwards! In Nathan Browns last season with just eorl as an out and out prop we got pinned in our own twenty some many times with no escape without broughs boot! Well impressed with how the lads are doing in the middle

| Maybe we should send him out on loan for a few months if we're not gonna use him much to get some long game time - i'm sure teams like Wakey, Salford, Bradford etc wouldn't say no.
