Over the years there have been some great players who have worn the Claret and Gold but in my opinion one of the best has been David Faiumu.He has constantly given 100% both on and off the field and will be sorely missed.Not only a great player but a gentleman of the greatest game in the world.I believe all the Giants supporters will join with me in wishing David all the very best and hope that in whatever he decides to do he will remember the town of Huddersfield and supporters of the Giants and take with him the very best wishes and thanks of us all.

A top bloke and he represented us well. A unique player as well with that step of his. He will be missed.

Totally committed player who has always given no less than 100% - a true professional who will be missed for sure. Wish we had more like him with his attitude and application.

As for what I will remember most - what else but that wicked swerve and side step. When viewing it from end on it is awesome - goodness knows how he ever gets tackled - he often makes opposition players look pretty poor as they grasp for thin air - and he must also have been in the top off-loaders since at the club.

a cracking player, very rarely had bad games and on his day was unplayable.
we certainly will miss him next year!

Totally gutted for him lastnight how it ended for him, im more upset about him leaving than us losing lastnight as a team we deserve nothing this season but he deserves better!

Quite simply the best side step I have ever seen, of either code, on a rugby pitch.

Gutted he's leaving us....he's been immense for us for many years, not one of our major stars as the media would portray but certainly one of the top 5 players of recent times for me....that sidestep though.....an absolute joy to watch on his day, every team has been undone by him at some point in his Giants career and he will be a major, major loss for us next year.

Thank You for the best years of your Career Fooey.....you will always be remembered as a Fartown great for years to come, good luck fella !!

I will always remember his massive side-step, especially in the 2009 Challenge Cup Final. A real game-changer of a player who will be hard to replace.

I can still remember first game I saw him in a giants shirt against Catalans and he got paul Jackson knocked out with a hospital ball and was wondering what we'd signed. He's gone from strength to strength especially since not playing in the hooking role and will be missed next year always gave 100% and took some battering playing prop and don't think enough can be said about his step.

i remember his first ever game for us, away at hull, came on as a replacement and we saw that step for the first time and we were stunned by it,i'd never seen a step like that in all my days watching RL, i think our players were as bamboozled as the hull players were that day!

I remember we were on our way to a hiding before fuey came on, turned the game in our favour.
Gonna be a big a gap to fill, all the best fuey and thanks for the memories!

poor lad was in tears at the end of the saints cup loss, stayed to play for us when there had been a bereavement back home, he went back home after the game.

Good luck to Fooey, he's been a star for us in his time here and he certainly won't be forgotten in a hurry by the fans. Thanks for some great performances and lasting memories of a sidestep/dummy that left some very good players stood standing, amazed, and grasping at thin air as he went past them



He can leave the club with his head held high in the knowledge that he was somewhat of a unsung hero and a fans favourite who was Mr Consistant, always gave his best and never shirked a challenge whilst wearing the Claret and Gold. Because he was so good, a lot of the things he did went under the radar because of his consistant, high class performances week in week out, I think at times we just took his undoubted talent and effort for granted. Played where he was picked, never moaned and groaned about it and just got on with it effortlessly. Well done Fooey and thanks, you've been a true Giant in your time with us and certainly one of my favourites. You'll be forever a true "Fartowner"
