This evening for Fartowners long gone if we win LLS, there must be a few of us who remember someone who only knew mostly bad times in their years following our beloved team and won't be with us in our hour of glory.

Been thinking all morning of my dear Uncle Bernard who got me hooked on Fartown, taking me to my first game in 1959, and Dad who took me to many away games in the 6o's. All 3 of us were at Wembley in 1962 and both of them were brilliant with a broken hearted 9 year old having lost to Wakefield 12-6, they made sure we were all at Odsal the week after to see a famous 14-5 victory over Wakefield to win the Championship final.

So hopefully at around 8 O,clock this evening, I can say thanks for everything and this is for you

My late father (god bless him) started taking me and my brother to watch both Fartown and Town in the late fifties, now not only his sons but his grandsons have followed suit in supporting both of our Town's glorious teams.
I'm sure he'll be watching down from wherever with a smile on his face tonight.

been thinking of my grandad today too - he would have loved to have been there today. 27 years since he passed on, although I didnt go often with him if it wasnt for him I would never had done so later. Thanks grandad!!!!

We're four generation fartowners as well, with my grandad first going in the early 20s. It broke his heart to see the state they were in during the 70s/80s and he never really got to see the Super League era.

However, my dad died 18 months ago and I so wish he could have held on a bit longer. I'm gonna try to keep his seat free today so he can be there

yes i will think of my dad too tonite hopefully when weve won, lost him 5 years ago after 10 years of alzheimers disease, he missed both cup finals too but if it wasnt for him neither me or my brothers wouldnt be fans, plus his grandkids and my mother. Still sit with his best mate so hopefully this is for u dad.

We will be thinking of my father-in-law, Doug, who was a fervent fan for many years until he was crippled by a stroke, but we took him to see Dave Valentine when he had the Dusty Miller and the Rismans when they ran Nont Sarah's.
He would have loved the season we are having.

Not lost anyone in the family that's followed Fartown but how much will Stuart Greaves have enjoyed last night looking down from above. The man had claret and gold running through his veins.

Mick Rhodes was another who was devoted C&G, he would have been a very proud man last night.
