Just got home and thought that the most appropriate words to discribe that tonight. Many spring to mind and whilst I wont 'vent my spleen on here yet that was just not good enough.

Oh and to cap it all the famous 'loyal supporters' chant again.

brown and robinson cant break the top teams defence, last season they got away with it as brett hodgson came into play (grix isnt in the same league on attack)

I thought we played well but you guys had a nightmare. The daft kicks to the wings must have had Brown pulling his air put especially the one from Grix just before halftime that led to a try.

Just one of those days and you'll be much better when Brough and O'Donnell are back.

I thought Hudds froze tonight.
Big game, against a big team (champions) in front of a big crowd.
If Hudds have any pretensions of doing well in the play offs then they have to turn up in a better state of mind than tonight.
Hudds are far, far better than that and we all (at Wigan) know it.
That performance was awful, can and must be improved upon.

First time this season that I've actually seen our forwards come off second best. A complete shambles. And our "defence" was atrocious. Wigan thoroughly deserved to win.

`Big crowd ` where were they all then ? in the pubs ?, we were a shambles today , hats off to wigan who punished our STUPID kicks /plays , 2nd v 3rd/ more like top v bottom . we were clueless at most times . any how thanks to the big gobbed lass who told us to not bother turning up as we left early , you have singularly saved me a load of dosh as i will stay at home for the rest of the away games left. good job .

Well there were a lot more other fans left early apparently - she must have been pretty busy berating everyone and that 'loyal supporters' chant is really annoying particularly as it mainly comes from kids who wouldn't know loyalty if it bit them on the rear

The thing I couldn't understand with that kick was why did Grix feel the need to chase the game at that point. It was 22-6 against a Wigan side that has a history of throwing some big leads away and it just called for patience.

As it was it happened, we scored and that was game over. A really poor call.

wasnt chasing but we needed summat to diff coz we was struggling alot and no one wanted to take control for us so grix tried . one of them things it could have been 22 - 12 at half time and game on if it worked but it didnt.

he did do it again the second half and it worked and we scored from it

Look, it wasn't our night. Wigan, FWIW were cracking. On top of that they got every rub.

Quite hypocritical having a go at the players not "turning up" when supporters don't even stay to show their support to the team. If folk are going to go home everytime the team get beat what's the point in turning up. Leroy and Joe wardle tweeted how gutted they were about their performance and both said they owed the supporters a big win - they were appreciative that the (loyal) supporters had stayed to the end. If you want to be a glory supporter get to Bradford- they are old hands at it.

Bentham did his best to keep you in it tonight but failed, your kicking game is horrendous without Brough. Im asking this as a serious question, not trolling, but do you think as a team you've grown to depend on him too much since you signed him? I dont remember you being that bad pre-brough, i couldnt believe the amount of times you went for power play close to the line on the last tackle. Like you were afraid to kick.

That loyal supporters chant was a complete take, when people have 30+ years following our team then the kids can have a go till then it aint called for.

BTW i stayed till the end but thats a personal choice and i do it week in week out

We were outclassed in attack and defense, simple as. Great display by Wigan, they are a classy outfit and a hard team to beat for sure!

Nah we've played worse than that this season.

Wasn't kids having a go it was the hardcore support many of whom I recognize from the old fartown days. People who have stuck by the team when we were losing every week and they have every right to call themselves loyal. You are right it's your choice whether to stay till the end- but if people choose not to then they should expect to get the same stick those same people would have given the Wiganers doing the Wigan walk under other circumstances.
The players appreciated the fans staying to the end and it will encourage them to do better next time.
