| Great response from the boys after lastweek ![CLAP eusa_clap.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//eusa_clap.gif) just what was ordered apart from the result!
could of gone either way though, let ourselves down early in the second half again (like at edinburgh) but we arent far off.
thought the forwards laid the foundations today all played really well too.
only complaints...richards goal kick that never went through the posts! and andy raleighs 'try' dissallowed which would of evened up the scores ![DOH icon_biggrin.gifOH:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//eusa_doh.gif)

| I thought Raleigh had scored, but I also thought Tommy had as well. So overall it evened up with both having possible try's disallowed.
Great game regardless.

| That goal never went through at all. It was to the left of the posts and way too low to be a goal.
The touch judges need to go to Specsavers!

true... but he did get us a 40/20 and a great break which could of led to a try if wigan hadnt laid on at the tackle (sin binning followed)

| cracking match between 2 good teams, i too thought raleighs try was ok didnt see any double movement, suprised at scoreline though with 2 of the best defences thought it would be a much smaller scoreline, good to see eorl back to his best today best performance of the year from him to me.

| Wigan coach Michael Maguire:
"We got ourselves in a tough position at times throughout that game but they kept working hard for each other and we were lucky enough to come out the right end.
"When we had the ball we knew we had to complete and get down the other end because the other team are quality.
"Every time we got down into their area, we came up with some points so it was pleasing from that point of view but we've got to make sure we don't put ourselves in that position too often."
Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown:
"I think both coaches weren't rapt with their defences but both sides played some good attacking football.
"Defence hasn't been an issue for us for 18 months. Obviously when we get it right we do pretty well but the last two weeks we've been exposed pretty badly in some areas.
"We've just got to work hard and I'm sure we'll rediscover what we need to rediscover and we'll improve."

| Andy said he'd put his house on it that he scored, no way a double movement... However poor kickoffs, missed goal kicks and too many penalties when in their 20 cost us, as they punished every mistake we made.

| It is easy to blame Kos as they are very visible mistakes. There were other bad mistakes today not mentioned 3 times we were pushe dinto touch and Andy Coley's try in the second half was a killer. Seemed they were holding him up waiting for the ref to call held and let him plonk the ball down.
Some terrible tackling out wide. We seem to get very exposed when the ball is thrown wide. This was a problem last year but seems worse this year. This is what has cost us in the games with good teams who can move the ball around.
lawrence should come back next week best defensive centre we have.
On the Wire board they were disputing Hodgsons first two tries saying he was in touch. I was on the wrong side to see. Anyone get a better view. Most of the blame given to Silverwood. Although i bet Wigan are crapping themselves when the panel comes around. They should have a lot of charges about grapple tackling and i can see at least 6 Wigan players being sent letters and getting their hands slapped
How late was Mason on Leulai ![Question icon_confused.gif:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_question.gif) i was watching the play and missed it.

| We was in the corner when Hodgy scored, the first try I think Silverwood spoke to both his touch judges who shook their head when asked and he gave the try. The hit on Tommy was late but Tommy played it like a pro and tried to milk it once he saw it was Mason
I thought it was a good hard contested game - enjoyed it thoroughly

| I'd forget all the technicalities. Wigan won both games because our bench is far stronger. Early second half Crabtree, Mason and Luke Robinson all off the field and thats when the game was lost from your point of view. They came back on and 20-30 down became 30-30, although from my point of view I wonder how much the sin bins had an affect on that. Then Crabtree went off again and Wigan retook the lead.
Same at Murrayfield. Soon as they interchanges came into effect your early dominance was worn away by Wigan. Thats the difference.

TBH thought we were robbed today and the integrity of refs has to come into question when a try is allowed by the sticks where no-one could see what the hell happened but a perfectly good try by Raleigh is chalked off.
Where a Giants kick that the Wigan player goes for and stops with his foot is not waved back to one where the same situation other way round is given back to one? He then penalises us again for a phantom offside and Wigan score again.
Wigan scored 4 tries off the back off 4 penalties, sorry but if the RFL don't sort the ref standards out then alot will stop going, cos I certainly wont be off next year to watch us get screwed week in week out by the so called officials.
If it's frustrating for the fans I don't know how the players keep cool and their lips buttoned and hats off to em cos it is every sodding week lately

Rubbish, Wigan won today cos you were piggybacked out of your own 20 by Silverwood when you couldn't do it yourself due to the Giants defence.
Frustrated is not the word today and I do not honestly know how the players manage to keep cool with blatently obvious decisions going against em week in week out.
If it was a game of Snooker today there would have been an investigation. does Dicky go to William Hills?

What a load of garbage, how we can have a player sinbinned for head high tackle yet no one off hudds follows suit even though the majority of penalties that you conceded were for that offence.
I think you will find that Silverwood kept you in the game, remember we played 60mins with only 12 men, but i suppose that Silverwood was ok for those 20mins. Lets face it......you ain't good enough ![Thumbs up icon_thumb.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_thumb.gif)

How can you say that when EVERY one of your own tries came off penalties (two of them off back to back penalties) and one 40-20 kick? In fairness the only deep try today was Carmont's finish from Pryce's break (and perhaps that justifies a 38-30 Wigan win) but to say penalties helped us win is nothing short of an embarrassing statement. We had two men sin binned if you didn't notice. Did they not piggy back Huddersfield up field? You score three tries during those seperate twenty minutes.
Crabtree was off the field for all three of Wigan's second half tries to back up what I said. I think the second time Brown took him off was the biggest blunder. You'd got back to 30-30 with him on then took him off again! ![THINK eusa_think.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//eusa_think.gif)

How about blatant holding down? He should have been sent off not sin binned. Silverwood was busy sucking you off all game - gave you everything. Even two points for a goal Richards missed!

Now i didn't go to the game so i can't comment on decisions of officials, however at what point did holding down become a red card offence?

I can't comment on Raleighs it was opposite end of the field. Coley's was only a double movement IF the ref had called held. Clearly he hadn't because he gave the try. You can't double move if stood up and not held. It's impossible unless a man's arms are so long he can stand up and have his ball carrying arm on the deck. He was stood up with four men on him and plonked the ball down on the line. Bad defence if anything!

| both dodgys trys in 1st half were fine nowt wrong with either of them, as for masons hit was it even late? no touchie came on until after dickie stopped play from which he plainly saw nothing with the penalty given for a shoulder charge imo old manned by TL who still had the ball when mason caught him, overall thought dickie was average but not reason we lost, 6 trys each goal kicks lost us the game and the dodgy no try from raleigh.

Answer the questions posed, why was Giants kick which was stopped by Wigan players foot not ruled back to 6 but when Wigan did it and Brett stopped it with his foot it was ruled back to 6 (you scored off this)
Why was Raleigh perfectly good try dissallowed when Coley's by the post was given?
Not poor reffing cos the same decisions were given differently as to which team they were for, as for having 2 sent to the bin it could have been far worse, Sean "2nd man in" O'Loughlin must have been warned 5 times for head shots but stayed on the field.
As I say other sports and there would be an inquiry!!!!! week in week out we put up with that

Aiiiiiiiiiii thought so, no answer to it then, maybe RFL headquarters could shed some light on it?
Refs should be available at end of game to face questions from press ect, would be very interesting hear em try blag that.
Investigations should follow
