Kings head (station tavern) at the station is supposed to be a good real ale pub

On the way to Leeds road head for the sportsman, top ale. If you fancy walking on Bradford road then the Slubbers arms is good.

the rat and ratchett on chapel hill is spot on. about 11 real ale pumps and one is brewed on the premises. they are run by ossett brewery who make a pint called excelsior which is 5.2% and has won the national beer award a few times. about 15 mins walk from the ground.

Glad that place is still going - spent many happy nights in there 20 years ago...

Rat and Ratchet is the best, and has the awards to prove it.

Top end of town is The Grove, which has good beer and a massive selection of foreign bottled beers on top

Sportsman is small but a good real ale pub, and even sort of on the way to the Galpharm

And the Slubbers Arms on Bradford Road (a short walk from the Sportsman) is an old favourite.

Looking at all those spelling mistakes I think he's been at the real ale already!
