| Poor game and a poor performance in the first half in particular. Cas were valiant but limited for obvious reasons and, as per Salford, we looked like we were playing in slow motion.
Pleased for Dodgy on his 50th game to get a hat trick. Fa'alogo best player on the park, Mase did some nice hits in defence, Robbo also worked well in defence and he's certainly improved in that regard. I just hope we turn it up a bit when we have to, I feel if we play like that against Rovers next week we will lose. Two points is two points and we've nilled Cas despite them having 5 sets in a row on our line so it's not all bad.

I actually thought it was quite a good game to watch, some big hits from both sides, and pretty quick as well. I also though apart from a 5-10 minute spell that Mr Ganson had a decent game.
Tonight was an outstanding defensive display, defending 5 sets on your own line is awesome, whoever the opponent. IMO our left hand side of Dodgy and Fatz were particularly good in defence, and in attack as well.
We came up with a couple of errors in attack, but did enough. Mason's defensive intensity was immense. Brough's kicking was (on the whole) brilliant.

| I thought we forced things a bit and we were too casual. We lacked intensity and spark and seem to already rely on Brough and his kicking game too much. This makes us predictable. We had some good halves and played some good rugby before Brough arrived and the lads should have confidence in themselves and those systems they had before Brough came.
Of course the lads having to get used to Brough's style and vice versa will be making us a bit disjointed at times but equally I thought we were kind of slow in the mind. Dodgy gathered a ball in the first half and just started stuttering on the spot rather than running for metres for example. We zigged when we should be zagging, if you know what I mean!

| Robinson best for me. Started at hooker did full 80 mins. If it moved he tackled it. Family marooned at a wedding in Essex , I sent a txt at 20 past 8 saying Cas wouldn't score tonight. They'd no real ideas had they?

| I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact that we were so totally dominant, yet we only scored 4 tries.
All 4 props plus Fa'alago put in some immense hits. Eorl running into a tackler who ended up doing a backwards somersault!
Robbo's improving game by game. It would appear that he has found his natural position.

| I've got no real worries getting nilled by Huddersfield baring in mind the quality and quantity of players we had missing. You lot just have to seal the game, took you long enough but you did. Couldn't see us scoring from the offset with no scrum half, stand off or LF.
However, as pointed out, 3 teams who you've nilled, your defence must be doing something right. In my opinion you lot have the quality & depth to make the Cup final again and push on in the playoffs this season. All the best.

| To say that Matterson had a go at NB's tactics last year, our boss has just stood up quite forcibly for the Cas coach.

As for that big hit from Earl, think it was on the young lad on debut for us tonight, I winced but I guess he'll learn from it, taking one for the team via Big Daddy. He'll feel it in the morning.

| strange kind of game last night, although we were never going to lose that game we never really woke up did we? like danril said too disjointed,we looked slow around the PTB at times,we lacked any real go forward at times and like at salford when we did get on the front foot the opposition was blown away.
credit to cas for sticking at it though despite the gulf in class power and pace we never looked like giving them a hiding wakey-esque whether that was down to poor attacking plays from us or good defence from cas is open to debate.
one thing that was being muttered on the kilner back last night was how much more the game speeded up and we looked like our old selves once brough was off the field, i dont want to turn this into another do we want him debate but it was almost as if the shackles had been let off the team once he was off, anyone else notice this?

| Aye, as soon as Grix went to DH when Brough went off we stepped up the pace IMO. I think this is a symptom of the lads not knowing Brough's game as well as they could do yet and vice versa. Also though I think we're relying too heavily on Brough's kicking which is in danger of making us predictable.

Agree with that, thought Grix impact was excellent.
Have to say Fa'alogo was immense, what a difference he makes.

That`s rich coming from a Leeds fan. Leeds has a population of 4 times more than Huddersfield, therefore Leeds should be attracting around 24000, so our figures work out far better than yours in comparison.

| 24-0 win , 2 points, less than convincing performance - i'll take that thank you !!
We weren't much better than at Salford but we did enough to secure the points.
I also cant help thinking that since Brough came our performances seem to have dipped attacking wise - yes his kicking is an improvement to the side but overall i dont think his inclusion has made the team any better and we are spluttering on without necessarily sparking.

I booed Ganson once or twice. At one point I thought he was going to take the ball up for Cas as he seemed desperate for them to score.

| As I've posted elsewhere, I though Mr G had another decent game [apart from his silly 10 minutes which saw us camped on our own line.
Becoming predictable with Brough? He rarely has made the same kick in succession - he varies his kicking.
I like Grix, and feel sorry for him with the arrival of Brough, but to say that we became quicker with him on the field and Brough off it is, IMHO, ridiculous.
Sorry Daz, but to say that we weren't much better than at Salford is laughable. If we'd have played like that on Monday, we would have won by 50. Why we didn't tonight, I'm struggling to comes to terms with. We totally dominated the game. Our forwards were immense. Our tackling was top drawer.
Rather than putting the blame at Brough's door, I would say that his half back partner had his 3rd poor game in the last 4 - and I'm NOT making him a scapegoat. [Awaits to be shouted down!
