| Our current position re signings for next season is
Drew
Faalogo
Gilmour
possibly Grix, Moa
Whilst that would give Brown a good strong squad to play with it does not exactly set the world on fire in terms of drumming up excitement like the signing of Carney did.
The rumour is that there will be no more signings now.
If so will the lack of a big name signing affect season ticket sales.

| Especially when Moore is on his way and jacko, faiumu are rumoured to be off. I was really hoping for the big signing at around this time to boost season tickets but it certainly does not look likely now. Apart from grix it may be that the only announcements maybe on the departures front. I may be wrong though and however it turns out, in brown we trust!

| I would ideally like to see a top class scrum half which is unlikely now as Drew's signing will mean Robinson will not move to hooker.
If Jackson goes we will need a front row replacement which could be either Moa or Sculthorpe.
Faiumu is still under contract for another season.
I would have liked another winger as well but Cudjoe can play there for another season after the form he has started to show.
I think the squad next year is looking good. Faologo and Gilmour are top quality players. Drew is massivley experienced and will help develop the youngsters.
As well as all the younsters breaking through this year (we need to keep Larne Patrick as he is out of contract) there will be Gregg Macnally and Jermaine Mcgillivary to come back as well as the rumour of Kyle Wood from Sheffield.
Add to that Grix(if he comes) who has great utility value then the strength of the squad next year will be far better than this year.
So even without a superstar sigining things are looking very positive.

Perhaps fans will get excited about a team that finishes in the top 4 and gets to a CCF and a ST price of £95 (possibly less!).
Perhaps they will get excited about some of the youngsters coming through + the further development of players like Bruno, Kirmond and Lunt.
Perhaps they will know enough about rugby to know that Fa'alogo is a world class signing. That he and Gilly will give us so much more in attack and defence.
Perhaps they will know that Drew +Grix (?)+ Wood (?) may offer us the kicking game we have lacked in 09.
Perhaps they will find all the above + a pre season with Nathan, Baloo and Bumper an exciting prospect.
Who knows?
It will do for me.

| I think(maybe Im wrong) that DG was talking more about "new fans" than we the converted
They do not readily associate with players names and reputations - and probably connect more with the "ticket price initiatives and current performances on the field
Although an achievement in itself to beat the Saints and get to Wembley in "OUR" minds -- it would possibly have meant more to the uninitiated to see a trophy paraded around the Town - especially to the "neutrals/ outsiders" who made the trek recently
Whilst Ive stood in crowds of 20000 plus for a league fixture at the old Fartown ground - the sad decline of the game in the eyes of many in the town did a lot of damage which even with KD`s splendid initiatives will take a considerable time to recover
Other genuine fans/ posters have recently questioned on here - considering the fact that we have a football club presence in the stadium- whether the town will ever again be the rugby league stronghold it used to be
Whilst great strides are being made , the percentage growth is in the eyes of many going to level off unless perhaps we achieve the visible evidence of silverware for the boardroom cabinet
Maybe if that factor is achieved in the near future - if not in the coming weeks , then maybe next season - we would see a noticeable increase in attendance figures and an influx of a new wave of supporters
WE on here know that the clubs progress and advancement is being maintained in no uncertain terms - but sadly there are still many doubting Thomas`s and casual specatators to convert and I feel only the "concrete evidence of a trophy" will clinch it ! Sadly - to them - a close second doesnt count !!

| It'll come, KD has an excellent junior policy and those U11's and 12-16 STH deals will bring through the next generation.
As NB eluded to recently, KD advised him when he arrived here that we as a club have lost 2 generations of supporters.
It will take 5 years or so and the fanbase will arrive, if we can convert some of the lost generations by winning some silverware all the better, but I believe the foundations are being built for longevity of this club.

I would get a season ticket if we signed the chuckle brothers.
My question is whether or not it will keep some of the newer spectators or other locals who might be tempted to come along or maybe even the disaffected Bulls fans who were tempted to leave Huddersfield and follow the bulls 10 years ago.
I know Faalogo is a good signing but many people in Huddersfield may have been more impressed with a name they knew ie Long or Burrow.
