Perhaps Baloo is now being primed for taking over in 2012?
Strange this because his reasons for leaving can't have changed. Clearly we're not getting the full tale but to an extent I don't care. He's a good coach, he's seeing out his contract so I'm pleased in that sense.

I think this is an interesting signing if it comes off.
A second row with o'Donnell and Faalogo would give us a very powerful pack and would certainly give our halves and backs an opportunity to play.
I wonder if this is related to the Robbo incident and the feud between McGuire at Wigan.
Wigan have recruited some big men and i think that Brown is wanting to compete. I would be very happy with this signing but would really like to know who else we have got coming in or who will be playing in the key positions of centre, prop and full back.
there are a few players leaving Drew, Wild, Whatuira, Hodgson they al need replacing somehow..

In the 11 seasons O'donnell has played he has only been available for 40% of the games either through injury or suspensions 11 in total i think

I think we have enough pivots. Based on the numbers we already have signed up for next season I wouldn't be looking to replace Drew (though I'd be well chuffed if the rumours about a coaching role turned out to be true). With Fooey & Gilmour capable of filling in at loose forward, and the way we seem to treat the scrums, I wouldn't be too concerned about a direct replacement for Wild at lock either. I would like to see a strike centre and full-back though. If we could sign the Fatz that we saw in his first season for us I'd be over the moon.
edit: As for props, O'Donnell is that much of an animal he could play prop in Super League IMO. |

Grix has lost his place since Drew came back to fitness. I think he's more than adequate cover for our halves personally and have been impressed with him this season. Throw in Wood, McNally, Carlile and IMO I think we already have Drew retiring well and truly covered.
