That's fair enough Codey. I enjoy debating with people on any forum, but some people just can't take a difference of opinion.
Doesn't make me a "classless, moronic turd" like one of your fellow fans called me.
Quote ="Code13"And yeah, if we'd have won last night I have no doubt we'd have won the final
Leeds are a team we can beat a will and Wigan don't have the forward dominance of Wire.'"
I wouldn't have put it past you guys to be honest. You've had the beating of Leeds this season, and also, apart from the blip in round 1 of the playoffs, against Wigan too.
Plus being in your debut GF, it would be something that you would want so much. Like us last year, but unfortunately the lack of experience cost us in the end.

| im not gutted about last night at all, i thought it was a cracking match between 2 top sides, as the scoreline suggests wire probably just shaded it, but as other posters have said this is the start of our progression to the SL prize, all in all disappointed we lost but not gutted, just very proud of the lads and the great support from us last nite.
Do tend to agree with wire fans we are in a similiar position to them 2 years ago we need to keeping moving forward next year to make the dream a reality,
roll on 2014 missing it already.

| Quote ="WireFanatic III"Calling someone classless, saying they have shown disrespect, telling them to grow up then referring to them as a moronic turd? Irony-tastic at it's best.
I don't understand where I have disrespected Huddersfield? The only thing being shown disrespect is my posts for having an opinion that differs from the norm on here. Luckily I don't give a flying fig.
All it proves is that you lot can't take a bit of debate and you are still sore about last nights result. I'm 110% that if you would have won that game, the Warrington forum would have been swarming with Huddersfield fans showing their "class", berating us for choosing you in the ClubCall etc.
This loss will make you a much better team, like hopefully our loss in last years final will have made us a much better team this GF around.'"
You have made assumptions about the club loyalty of posters on here and made accusations on that basis. Why on Earth would anybody want to debate and listen to the opinions of someone who cant be bothered to check their facts as well as failing to have basic mathmatical skills.

| Certain people need to realise that: (i) their team winning a match doesn't mean they're a genius, a great player, rugby league savant or any better in any way at all from a supporter of the beaten side. (ii) that picking a team to win a game their own team isn't involved in equally has no bearing on your supposed brilliance or superiority of others. (iii) a club forum is realistically going to have club bias and it is hypocritical to come here wanting to "debate" issues because of this false interpretation of superiority based on something that has no bearing on your own perceived brilliance. (iv) this is the internet and your apparent standing on here and self-worth because of internet posturing is not only an illusion but that any faux pride you derive from it is a reflection of just what a sad person you must be.
Now go and face the wall with your hands on your head!

| Well Done to the Giants for your season, at Warrington we know all to well what it is like to win the LLS & then fall at the last hurdle. What you team must do now is learn from this season. I felt that you like us in 2011 needed to win the LLS to be viewed as real contenders.
Your fans were a credit to your club last night & your team were a credit to the fans. Learn from this season lick your wounds & look forward to 2014.

| There seems to be a lot of issue-fogging on these forums regarding the LLS. The weight you give it will be a matter of opinion. For me, it's the 3rd trophy, behind the SL Champions' trophy and the Challenge Cup (in that order).
It is, however, still a trophy. There are now 3 teams left in the hunt for what I consider the biggest prize in UK club rugby league. Only one of them can win it. Wigan already have the CC in the cupboard. So a maximum of 2 teams can finish with a better trophy aul than your lot, even with a jaded view of the LLS.
So, in my humble internetty opinion, that amounts to a pretty decent season.
I don't think there was much to be ashamed of in the perfomrance last night. I think Paul Anderson had a fairly clear head on it. You had good go-forward at times, kicked really well, but lost the game in losing the ruck and a loss of discipline. During the 2nd half it looked like it could get pretty bad, but there was plenty of heart displayed to get back into it.
Lots of British players in the team with plenty more years and plenty of improvement left. A young coach who has been really impressive in his debut year as a head coach. I'd say the future is pretty bright.

| disappointed yes, gutted? no, not at all, very proud to have just seen the best season a Huddersfield side has enjoyed in my lifetime supporting fartown. on another night we could have won the game, we made a couple of errors at crucial times and it cost us in the end.
unlike previous efforts at warrington, we didn't cave in, our heads didn't drop, we battled to the end, we fought and scrapped until the end and I was very proud last night.
as others have alluded to it took warrington 2/3 years of disappointment to achieve, we are still in a learning curve, we are not the finished article but we are going in the right direction.
as for last night, there wasn't much in it really, we didn't get a single decision go for us and had we got some decisions it could have been different, but we didn't so we wont know, but after watching the game back I have to agree that warrington got every decision go for them.
lets be proud of our team and look forward to next year, I don't think anyone was saying that this time last year.
and finally, good luck to warrington next week, go and win the thing!

The Giants will be relegated to 3rd place once the Grand Final is completed.

| Although you will be disappointed with your playoff results it is good to see another club that have become genuine contenders for the SL crown. We need more of the so called lesser teams to use what Huddersfield have done as a benchmark for there own clubs.
Although as a Leeds fan these last few years have been great for our club the competition needs more teams challenging for the title. You have shown your not far off.

'"
As you are now part of the "Top of the Pile" club. Historically:-
From 1998 to 2002 it was called the minor premiers award.
From 2003 to 2013 it is known as the League Leaders Shield.
It was devalued in the 2008 season by mostly the Wigan Fans because St Helens won the LLS for 4 consecutive years 2005-2006-2007-2008.
Suprisingely it got more value when Wigan won the LLS a few seasons later and more recently by Wire Fans.
Reality wise it should be recognised more highly as being the best team over 27 preliminary rounds which is quite an achievement in any sport.
If Warrington win the grand final for the first time get ready for the wire fans to be little your achievement in winning the LLS.

It's a paradox. If you were good enough to win the final you would have won last night. 'oh but we were played warrington we were good enough we just played the one team who have the indian sign on us'. You lost to wigan in the first game at home, a team that you apparently beat at will. So you point about beating wigan and leeds in the final holds no value when you couldn't even beat wigan at home.
You weren't good enough to be champions, and the LLS means nothing. It's not even listed in honours on the super league website.

Blah blah blah! The effort you go to to belittle our winning the LLS betrays you. It is clear that you are very upset, perhaps even outraged that little Huddersfield won a competition that every Coach, every player and every owner in Super League wanted to win.
Yes given a choice I would prefer to win the GF or the CC, but we did win one of only 3 trophies available to all teams.
that it so upsets the small minded frankly makes it all the more pleasureable so thanks for that!

| I am gutted and pleased.
Gutted that some of our performances let us down which meant there are too many , "if's" to feel completely satisfied.
Our performance against Wire in the playoffs is an example . Where was that against Wigan and in the CC.
Pleased that we had a winning season and finished top of the league. We have a great team, coach and Chairman i just hope we can move on from this.

Why do you constantly assume fans belittle the LLS because huddersfield have won it and that other teams wanted to win it? (funny how hudds were found wanting when competing for a trophy the other contenders wanted to win). It get's belittled because you constantly big it up into something it's not. If you didn't rabbit it on about quite so much you wouldn't have people trying to put you in your place.
And please don't kid yourself that every coach player and owner wanted to win it. Look at the contempt with which wigan treated it. They were 5 points clear at one point yet have literally stuck 2's up at it to make sure they are primed for the [ireal[/i prize. Wigan are one of the biggest clubs in the game, if it was a trophy that mattered they'd have slammed down the acceleraator in may and huddersfield would never have had a sniff. Instead they rested players, altered their intensity and as a result it let huddersfield in to win it.
Wigan won it last year yet have totally disreguarded it this year, doesn't that tell you anything about how much it means?
People belittle the LLS because the top clubs treat it with contempt because it's not the main prize and while ever that is the case winning it will mean f*ck all.
If you can't accept that i'm afriad you are deluded.
Cue ''you are totally jealous of us!!! what a major trophy to win, we are true champions blah blah blah'' response, which (rightly) results in people putting you in your place.

Leeds fans only judge hudds on the criteria they judge themselves. They don't give hudds special treatment, that shows respect.
Top clubs judge themselves on major trophies, and finals. Hudds and leeds have had neither, so in terms of end game the seasons are similiar (by the criteria we judge ourselves), obviously hudds have won more weekly round games and got further in the CC so on balance you would say they had a better season.
By hudds standards it's probably been an unbelievable season, after all those years of being cemented to the foot of the table.

| I am desperate to win the GF to be able to say again I DO NOT GIVE A FLYING FRIG about the GF and the LLS means far far more to me as been the most consistent team over 27 tough SL rounds as opposed to being a team that can win a 4 game end of season play off.
Until we win it it will sound like sour grapes and I understand that, but I don't want to win the GF and not the league cos the league means 100% more than the GF ever will.
Just a personal thing and understand that other fans think the LLS is pointless but a competition where the 8th placed team (a team finishing below halfway) can become Champions is more pointless to me!!
So next year lets have both please and I can say again the GF is pointless!!
