Couldn't agree more on what basis is that a top 4 squad it is still bottom 4 if the 3 from Bradford come and reasonable full back. Castleford and Wakefield are both now stronger as are Leigh and prob Salford

So how different is that squad from 2 years ago or three years ago?

You need to give your head a shake. 5 down from last years shower! All other teams are stronger and continue to strengthen. We are in it deep this year without some serious quality coming in.

Just because players PLAYED international does not mean they are good enough for the rest of their careers.

HULL, Wakefield and Cas are all much much stronger than they were 2 years ago, Warrington continue to strengthen as have St Helens this off season.

Presently........

Warrington, Hull, Saints, Cas (with Hardaker, on a par without), Wigan, Catalans all have better squads than we do.

Us, Leeds, Wakey, Widnes, Leigh & Salford for 2 remaining spots and bottom 4.

If we get a full back we will make the top 8 but NO chance of top 4 unless we sign 3 decent players.

Clubs are strengthening and as of now we are getting weaker by losing 5 players.

As for LLS we must have changed the entire squad since then...

A fullback who half the people on here wanted shut for years

A hooker/half who hardly played last season and was patchy when he did

A young centre who lacks pace, can be brilliant but is a penalty machine

An aging prop who again half the people on here said was shot

A young forward with potential who wasn't as good as the ones we retain

Your missing the point code. YES we do have good players but other teams have strengthened a lot more.

Players age, players lose form. Just because we finished 1st once doesn't mean they can do it again.

I agree those players are not going to be much of a miss however if we don't improve on those positions how are we going to get better?

We finished bottom last year and we will be similar next year if we don't make signings.

Plus key players like Robinson and Crabtree are done and even Brough is 3 years older bound to not be as dominant

Do like your positivism, but let's assume 3 injuries above and 1 suspended, what does the team , and the bench look like ? I do rate our youngsters like Dickinson but we were short of numbers last year once ferres and Robbo left, and as I see it we are even shorter now.

I'd be hoping for at least 3 decent new signings, plus perhaps ex Bradford 1,2 or 3.

Can some of you lot give me the weeks lottery numbers as you all seem to be able to see into the future.

I don't know where we are with the salary cap but think the thought that the Ferres and Robinson salaries are still available is wishful thinking.....won't the signings of Symonds, Brierley and Ikahihifo have eaten those up and maybe as far as the club is concerned they are this year's signings? I am not expecting much in the way of signings, maybe there is one being kept quite till close to the cheap season ticket deadline using Crabtree money?

You could add Mason to that Squad, I thought he stepped up well at times last season, Warrington at home in particular. He'll be more than a bit part player after a pre season under stone. The forwards don't concern me as much as FB and perhaps hooker.

Anyway the numbers are. 1 2 3 4 5 6. You have as much chance of winning with them as the Giants have with the team that some Delusional people think is a top 4 side, but Forums are Forums and some people have this crazy idea you can speculate and give opinions and such, strange i know , but hey ho.

Should those numbers pay off , there will of course be a charge for services rendered.

Steady on lads , keep going and top 4 will begin to look a conservative forcast.

will take more than just signings, we need the player harmony and working hard for each other and having players that want to play for the club... we lost that last season and hopefully stone can try rectify some of this pre season.

i fully expect a full back to come in and likely mamo (lets hope he gets over the injury asap)

hooker i agree with too, maybe randell will follow mamo? dont know if stone will revert hinchcliffe to loose forward his preferred position... if no hooker then leeming will get his chance but i personally dont think hes good enough , well to make us a top 4 team again anyway.

prop? smith is like a new player, mason will have learned alot from his year too. clough if coming adds the that department where we already have rapira, huby, ikahihifo.

what i am looking forward too is watching that right side of symonds , cudjoe and mcgillvary !!
