I don't put much weight in judging a player on any particular game, all players have average games sometimes, and against Oz ! well not many shine. However i do think you are right, Signing players that left us a few years ago and have been playing lower level since, are hardly likely to be moving us forward, ( who knows we may have Grix back for 2020 season )

Grix did a very good job for us taking over from Hodgson, he has now moved on and I wish him further success.. He was the victim on here of some ignorant and barbed remarks...it seems some people are still trying to have dig,, I wonder what their motive is..,,,

English born (London) and represents Ireland internationally.

Hes OOC now and previously spent 2 years at Manly and is mates with Tom Symonds.

Not sure if he played for a Junior set up here but can only find data going back 3 years.

Don't wonder for too long, there isn't one. I was making the point we have history signing players who we had playing for us previously. If Ferguson wasn't good enough then, what is there to suggest he is now. The idea is too improve our squad, not sign our former rejects.

I agree that Grix has been the [delvictim[/del recipient of some barbs and taunts on this site and others. However I have also read some very valid observations and criticisms of his play.

Grix has been a divisive figure at Huddersfield and appears to remain so even in his departure. However, looking for ulterior motives at the mention of his name serves no purpose other than to cause friction. Grix has moved on, perhaps others should follow his lead.

What was the breaking news in the RL express/RL weekly regarding our new signings? Not seen or heard anything on any new signings apart from the Mamo deal looking increasingly likely and the possibility of the 3 Bulls players not coming. The new shirt will be out and in the shops before we sign anybody

There was nothing in League weekly as i have read it on the way into work this morning.

The wait continues. Hopefully the names mentioned on here and other websites are pretty close to the calibre of player we are after and we can rebuild the team to challenge at the top end of SL again and not worrying about relegation and the middle 8's with teams like Salford, Wakefield and Leeds

Looking online it looks like there is something in RL express but you can only get the headline and not the actual story.

League Weekly suggests:

1. Giants trying to get out of signing Bradford 3 by finding them new clubs
2. Giants looking to sign Mamo and Randall from Newcastle
3. Kyle Wood will have signed for another club shortly (Wakey to replace Moore or Leeds i presume)
4. Giants still after Hardaker also

Hopefully Stone gets the players out who he doesn't think will fit in with his plans and type of rugby he wants us to play and that frees up enough of the cap to sign the players we've been linked with. It looks like it could be a right revolving door this off season at the Giants and one which is needed.

I don't think we will see Hardaker at the Giants. Just don't think we as a club have got it in us to sign a player of that calibre in his prime. I think he will end up at Salford or stay at Leeds.

Stays at Leeds and he'll b sat watching our games. It's all taking too long to sort and as Zak is/has gone on holiday it looks like dragging on.
Think he'll end up with you in exchange for wood plus cash.

Would be happy with that. However, I have a feeling Wood will end up back at Wakey to replace Moore who will probably be sacked.

I think if the Mamo deal falls through with us and Newcastle we may try send Wardle to Leeds in a swap with Hardaker for a year as he is going to Newcastle in 2018.

I hope everything gets sorted before pre season so everyone can have a good pre season.
