but in fairness anyone could have turned up on the day and say the club said it was ok to buy x amount cheaply - for all the club knew you could have brought half your family with you in the hope you could fleece the club through this deal.
if the offer was for just 1 ticket then the club kept their side of the bargain and you got what was promised in the offer !!
to be fair the others in your party didnt have to pay full price - they obviously did because they didnt wanna miss the match - they could have walked away and refused to pay full whack !

Agreed...however the club should have stipulated in the advert if there was a limit on how many people were allowed entry under the offer, then the confusion would not have arisen.

My reading of the above is that you could only purchase one discount ticket for yourself and as many normal tickets as you like for anybody else.

Kids under a certain age get in for free. You could have given your ticket to their dad. Job done.

Alternatively you could have spoken to the Wakie bloke outside the Wakefield end selling tickets for £10 to whoever would have them.

He seems surprised that people who qualify for a concession could be employed in some role within the emergency services!



Also the idea that someone in the emergency services could get lots of cheap tickets for any tom, dick or harry goes against the spirit of the offer.

If a member of the emergency services flaps this much over a small ticket issue...who knows what would happen in a crisis.

So there was a mix up over tickets and the club offered you compensation which you refused. Where's the poor service? The club didn't have to offer you compensation since you have nothing to substantiate your claims and their employee gives a different version of events. You bought the tickets at the price quoted thereby denoting acceptance of the value of the tickets. As long as you were informed of the correct price at the point of sale then the club has discharged it's duty.
