I find threads like this interesting. I know we had a poor couple of years for his standards but he has been back near his best this year. I don't know many wigan fans who don't want us to retain his services (all be it on a reduced wage). I'd also wager there isn't a coach in SL that wouldn't want his services.

MM has publically praised him several times this year. Rumours on our board are we've offered him a 3 year deal but he's yet to make his mind up between us or giong back to yorkshire.

i believed he had two convictions for urinating in public and drunk driving. i would have thought that that would have prevented him getting a work permit. I may well be wrong on the facts

really???? Fielden made his reputation by playing in a huge pack of mcdermott, anderson, and vagana, not to mention peacock in the second row, and he single handedly carried wigans pack in dark days with no support which tarnished his reputation. after watching him week in week out, his work ethic and professionalism, you dont have a single prop to the same level. wigan are a far weaker team without him in the front row and those that question this and continuously compare him to the days of a freak bradford pack are kidding yourselves. the lad is damn good rugby league player, and imo is pushing for an England recall in the summer !!! anyone could have shone in that bradford team, especially with lesley and vaikona on the wings as extra forwards.i hope he re-signs for wigan because i honestly think we will be title contenders for a good few years to come and stu will play a big part in that.
