biggest crowd of the day in all divisions of rugby league,considering the low turnout of visiting quins fans,
wakey only managed 5,217 against st helens who would have had a decent following there, salford only managed 4,651 against leeds who would have had a decent following too, crusaders and cas could only muster 1,465 supporters between them, which was eclipsed by bigger crowds in the championship at widnes and dewsbury.
but still our crowds are an embarrassment and we dont deserve a super league place

It is now end of term for school holidays. A few families missing from where I sit but to get over 5k is excellent work by all at the galpharm.

Surely for a club that has attracted 10000+ to a game this season a Crowd of almost half that can't be seen as a good crowd. Now I know it's not a glamour game as such but why has 5000 fallen off the gate for a club that has performed very well in the last 2 years?

emagine what the crowd would be if season and match tickets would be if they were like everyother team and not halfprice and is it right that primary school children get in for FREE if thats right then you should be getting alot more then 5 and half k.

When you grow up you will understand that it is not your place to question our crowds. For this time of year and the opposition this isn't a bad crowd. I don't know what makes you think you have the right to sit in judgement apart from the fact you're a simpleton.

No. It could be much better but we are steadly increasing our crowds year on year and this does not happen overnight.

Crowds are increasing but since you have had two good seasons on the pitch why aren't you able to retain the majority of a crowd of 10000+ for a game like this. Surely a crowd of say 7500 should be easily attainable for this game as you have shown in the past that these people have been to games

If you'd had the capability to view the figures that are openly available you'd know we've never got close to 7,500 for this game. Why would we get it now in the middle of a recession when we're blowing hot and cold in holiday season?

I realise that the fact we have a higher average then you hurts especially when we share our city with another Super League club who averages around 14000.

We have over 10 clubs in and around west yorkshire so it is obvious your crowds will be bigger?

I was pleased with today's crowd.

No away fans and the first weekend of school holidays when many are away. For a town of 65,000 people of which certain factions never attend Rugby matches that's ok.

right, before this becomes a d1ck measuring contest with the humberside bandwagon brigade,can i just point out that my OP was not meant to say we had superior crowds than other SL clubs,but merely to point out that despite people slagging us off for our crowds as being embarrassing/disgraceful etc we still managed to pull in more supporters than any other rugby league club today,despite the fact that the game was against harlequins,a club ( with respect) that often sees low attendances for most SL clubs due to the fact it's generally not regarded as a glamour game and with very few away supporters.
never mind how many season ticket holders we have or how much our season tickets cost we still pulled in more HOME supporters than salford,wakefield or crusaders today.
as for claiming we should get 7,500 that is plain ridiculous! dont forget that less than 10 years ago we struggled to get 5,000 for big games and that included thousands of away supporters.
so i'd say that despite spending most of the last 30 years in the doldrums and barely attracting 1,000 supporters whilst our neighbours have been very succesful and thus attracting our potential support some people should learn more about our recent history before making silly statements

As i said when the crowd was announced - 6/7 years ago we got that sort of crowd against Leeds or St helens never mind London - and out of interest i counted 16 Quins fans today so 5,300 + home fans, like Meast said against this opposition isn't bad when Wakefield and Salford probably couldn't muster that amount between em today !
