I was pleased with the effort throughout the game. It was noticeable how we were on the back foot once Burgess, Wilson and Woolford were replaced. I thought Wire were dominant in the tackle after half time, lots of pushing back and far too slow in my opinion. I thought Richardson did well, Hewitt was excellent out of position. We really need Sutcliffe and Milne as our first choice centres. Clearly avoiding further injuries is essential for us. a

Thought Gagai looked very solid, and Woolford too. I think Leroy may be our key player again this year.

I agree that i liked the look of both Gagai and Woolford, but even with Clune back in the team we are short of spine players. Golding is not a hooker, and when he is spelled in we instantly lose momentum. Hoping Milne is decent at centre but i don't like the look of any of the other centre options to partner him. Still can;t believe we spent such a crazy amount on Burgess when we are so weak in the spine of the team. Oh well, the new signings looked good anyway, shame we can't keep a side fit in the off season!!

Exactly right about the off season! Milne is a big centre, so will help our go forward. Completely agree about Golding, decent squad player but no more. Would have liked to see Seb go for another year. Some solid players but so far away from the days of signing Hodgson, Faalogo, Faiumu, Lolesi, Rocket Rod, De Vere, and lots more. I know times have changed.
