Douglas clark 485 appearances 99 tries played at hooker as well as other forward positions.
Played in the Rourkes drift test. Broke his thumb in the first half but carried on playing. Went off in the second half with a dislocated collar bone had it strapped up and then weny back on to play. Was gassed in the first world war and injured by a shell with 18 shrapnel injuries and got the Military Medal. Was discharged from the army with a body still full of shrapnel and carried on playing. after finishing RL he became a champion wrestler.
There is a display about him at the minute at the Imperial war Museum in Manchester if you want to know any more.
