With all the upheaval we've had at the start of the season, the injuries, coach leaving, player/agent/press back stabbing, we are still in the top three. Performances have been disjointed, which is to be expected with all of the above. Even after today, which was probably our worst display of the season, we've taken the two points. We have played 3 of our top 4 contenders in Batley, Bradford and Sheffield (Dewsbury to come) and we have been there or there abouts. We should be peaking at the right time in the summer. You know, I think we can do it this year!

Woah! Hold on, an optimistic post on here! Yes! About blooming time. I've been saying this for weeks, how much credit the boys should get throughout this. Yes, games have been close, yes disjointed at times, but give me another team in this division with the upheaval we've had and still find ourselves 3rd?

I know it's early days, but I've been feeling positive for a while now. Would love to have been at the age today, but MixLr kept me there! Come On Leigh!

What this team has shown in bucket loads is resilience in the face of adversity. Well done Leigh!

Gaz Hock was a beast today. Did well to not react to Fax taticts aimed at him until the last 10.

Hock had an awesome game.

Thought Emmitt was our MoM today though. He seemed to be the first one to realise that all we needed to do was roll up the middle instead of trying to be fancy and making a balls up of it every single time. Really settled us down and made a lot of solid drives at the point when we finally got off the back foot and got on top of them.

We were totally clueless today. We desperately need a SL standard coach. We depended completely on individual skills.

Alternatively, we have just played London, Bradford (A), Sheffield and Halifax (A) with the worst injury list we have had in years, all sorts of off field issues and have come through it with 7 points from a possible 8.

This with a coach that was thrown in at the deep end 10 days before the season started.

Not sure what your issue with Jukesy is, you have had a pop at him after every game this season win or lose.

I think he has done a terrific job in the face of a lot of adversity.

He was thrown into a job unexpectedly at the worst possible time and has made a great fist of it so far.

I am not saying he is the next Wayne Bennett but I think he has done remarkably well so far under very difficult circumstances.

. Hear, hear. Impressed with everything Jukesy has done so far. Handled the press well and seems to have the backing of the team. Let's get behind him instead of stabbing him in the back.

Neil has done remarkably well, given the internal turmoil and the fact that almost half the squad - and virtually the entire back division - have been missing, for one reason or another. Our play has been understandably less than free-flowing, yet we are still the top scorers in the Championship.

Should be interesting when we have more bodies to select from.

I would love to say that it was a classic, but it just wasn't.

6 - 0 at half time & we just wasn't at the races at all.

I thought we could have taken the upper hand in the 1st half if ....
A) Silverwood had penalised 3 or 4 Fax high shots & some lying on/interference at PTB.
B) we were more coherent in attack.

Still, to play so poorly & come away with a win is satisfying, especially when you factor in Bradfords draw away at Batley.

Our forwards won us the game yet again & I was really pleased with the performance of Ben Reynolds who I had been calling for his return from the start of the season.

FFMM went well & he seems to respond when the fans sing his name with a bit of extra power.

Halifax played well I thought & knew how far they could push Silverwood, the comedy throwing himself to the floor of one of their players in the 2nd half was straight out of la liga though.

London top, Batley, Dewsbury, Leigh & Fax vying for top 4, be interesting to see the order come the 8's.

Oh, I finally found out that I have met Salford Lad/Frank 1 several times but didn't know it.

Well done today lads, even though you weren't firing on all cylinders.
Fairly even until the last 20 when you finished the stronger and we couldn't hold out.

As I posted on the Fax board on another point.

I was sat about 5 rows behind DB and to his credit when the Fax team was announced as coming on the pitch both at the start of the game and the second half he put his hands together and gave a good long round of applause before standing to clap Leigh on, so fair play to the guy.

Coach walks out the week before the season, we suffer a massive injury crisis with almost all of our backs injured at one point or another and our star player is a hooker playing with an injury, we've had to play 5 of the top 6 teams in our first 6 games; we've lost 1, drawn 1 and won 4! An absolutely fantastic start! I can't wait to see this team when everyone is fit, when the team is settled, when Jukes has got his eye in and if we can play for a full 80 min we'll be incredible.

Hear hear! Having seven different half back partnerships in those six games, can't have helped us to settle. Sooner or later we will have to see a repeat half back combination! (although we could try Charnock and Reynolds on Saturday, and make it eight!!

Not gelled for me,Ben looked a little lost,the forwards were moving right, but the ball was doing nothing.

I'll reserve judgement on NJ until we are in a position of choice rather than forced positions.Must be a nightmare at the minute not knowing who's playing who isn't.

Very difficult to go with a game plan that must be changing daily. Credit were it is due NJ is dealing with it very well.

The table could look markedly different after the next 3 or 4 weeks looking at the fixtures coming up.

It would look a bit different for us now, if Bradford and Featherstone had played the games they currently have 'in hand'!

Things will get even better if Rancid ever gets rid of that cold.
