| I support HKR and the middle 8s are proving difficult for the championship clubs. Fans point to the difference in salary cap which is obviously massive. I believe in promotion as it helped us when we finished top. One up one down has to be the way.
I also would like to go back to who ever wins the super league are the true champions and then have a premiership play off we would still have a full house at Old Trafford. Not everything the Aussies do is the right way.

| I agree. It should have been 1 up 1 down which would have condemned my team to relegation but thats life.
I am a traditionalist in that respect.
It's all about Sky, they pay the money they decide on these matters, ultimately.

| We knew the rules before the season started and the odds were always in favour of the SL clubs, its no good bitching about it now, but the odds of us (or any other championship team) being promoted are far better this season than the previous ones.
All we can do is roll our sleeves up and do our best, if that’s not good enough then so be it, we will have to learn from the experience and go again.

| I don't think one up one down is the answer........ it didn't work before and I don't think it'll work now
We're two games in and no championship teams have won, that doesn't mean that it potentially won't happen...... I like the new format.............
Whats the point of one up one down, if the Championship clubs aren't good enough to gain promotion? If Wakefield did get relegated, they would potentially blip the league if they kept the same team so that wouldn't do the Championship any good. Looking at it now, Leigh would potentially lose every game too, so how is that doing the sport in this country any good?
The new format makes it harder for promotion, but at the same time, you have to deserve it and be GOOD ENOUGH! At the minute, Leigh are showing that reaching the QF of the CC, not losing a home game in 2 years count for nothing!

| I hope Leigh get promotion purely to shut you up, for at least a while anyway.

I hope Leigh do get promoted......... but if they don't that means they're not good enough for Super League, which is fair game. That's why the new system is good, because the teams who truly should be in Super League go up. Hopefully that's Leigh if they can turn it around in the next few games which isn't impossible.

| If a Championship team go up they will have extra money to improve squad.
If SLteam come down they will have less to spend.
Both those things could make a difference to outcomes. Trouble is finding available players in a short time frame other than castoffs.

| I like the system. It means Championship teams need to raise the bar. I would prefer a more equal distribution of funding between the championship teams and less of a gulf in that funding between the SL teams but that isnt going to happen anytime soon although to me it seems clear that would lead to a closer competition.
On the new system if nobody goes up in a couple of years sky will put pressure on the RFL and that could lead to my wish coming true.

| I like this system also,i agree with what others have said, you have to prove yourself good enough for super league.
The only gripe i have is the order of fixtures which could prove crucial,it seems like its given the super league teams a chance to hit the ground running, going into round 3 there will have only been 2 SL vSL games,2 CH v CH games and 8 SL v CH games.
It may or may not be a factor, just worth pointing out i think.

I think that's what has surprised me most about this too. I wouldn't have thought it would be too complicated to schedule teams to play alternate games against CH and SL teams.
I think you've had a real rough start TBH, 3 SL teams on the bounce doesn't give you the chance that you perhaps needed to get a bit of momentum (although if you'd beaten HKR or Salford then you'd really be flying I suppose).
