Barlow superb as usual, that tackle he did in 1st half was excellent. Worthington looked all class. Also difficult to look past a hat-trick hero in kay

Ben Reynolds impressed me massively, he imposed himself on the match and his organisation and distribution was key for Leigh today.

Dare i say , some of our ambitious young players who have well documented SL intentions may actually find themselves looking over their shoulders this year for a Leigh shirt such is the level of competition.

Bob Beswick had a super game as did young Barlow who was involved in everything,

I have to say that Ben looked very comfortable where he played and that is a good thing for him and the coaching staff. Greg Worthington went well as did the other new faces. Fui Fui has been teaching Jamie the smash as he took two balls in full blast and the Wigan defence nearly stood off. SAMs big hit set up our first try and I thougt that we looked as good as we finished last season. That is credit to the boys and the all the back room staff. There was a comfortable sense of a team that could work well together today. Even though it was shaken up a bit.

Very good display by everybody, only criticism was a lack of leadership 2 nd half when we kept turning over posession far too easily and often , somebody should have got the word around to complete a couple of sets, but a cracking day, bring on the Bulls

Fantasic display 1 ..17 great attacking but even better defense main thing tho Leigh would have learned hell of a lot from.todays game against a top class team like Wigan ..Cant wait for the real deal to start..

These errors were nothing more than just blowing the cobwebs off.

It's been a long off season. You will see less of these errors as all the players adjust and come back up to speed. This is exactly why you play pre-season friendlies. Come the Bradford fixture we will be ready and raring to go.

Not very long ago, this Wigan side would have put 50 points past a Leigh team. I think the lads should be very proud of themselves.

Excellent performance by everyone. Put ourselves under a bit of pressure by losing too much ball but that got better with practise even during this match. Defence was excellent, they weren’t getting through the middle and we did very well on the outsides against that most unusual thing of late, a team that could match us for pace. w!g@n came out strong 2nd half and Rowley seemed to be messing our team about in different positions but we still did excellently, we’ve got so much strength in depth this year. Can't wait to see our warmed up, fully fit squad take on Bradford now (even more so than before).

You have to love the confidence of the team, we will attack from anywhere and against lesser teams we would have gone the length of the field.
We are playing the best rugby I have ever seen, including the 80-84 era. Its a privilege to watch it

What is remarkable in this win is the fact Wigan, had six England players on the pitch and they have played recently in the tri nations so they were not as 'rusty' as leigh! Could we have beaten a team including six of the Australian Test Team? I think not!

We should test Castleford's commitment to Ben Reynolds by offering him a three year deal now, this lad is going to be an international and outstanding player, to produce a performance, on debut, against last season's Grand Finalist and the team tipped to do well this season was, sensational!
I know its reported Cas have first chance to offer him a 2016 contract however, he is our player so make the offer now! we don't owe Cas owt they didn't hesitate to offer Millward a contract halfway through our season did they!

I'm not getting carried away with yesterday's result as I'm sure PL won't , Wigan lacked so much leadership , and created nothing from the amount of possession they had in the second half.We tackled very well , and our centres of Worthington and Armstrong look to have a good season ahead of them, I was impressed with Reynolds a decent our Pack bossed the Wigan pack, but I would be worried for the Coming season if I was a Wigan fan, they need a 6 and fast.

VERY impressed with Reynolds and Worthington. For a converted half back to score three tries opposite one of the best wingers in Super League is summat else though, well done Liam Kay.

This lad is a talent and one that came to the attention of the coaching staff whilst playing very well against our 20s last year for York.

A few months ago I was questioned on here when I contributed to a thread about the strongest 17 and included Ben ahead of Greg. This wasn't a reflection on Greg more a reflection of how highly I rate BR.

Id only really seen him play at FB but on yesterdays showing Greg looked big and strong and assured at the back and Ben played really well in the halves so he will now push Riddy and Ryan for those half back positions hard by the looks of things.

Great competition for places and the depth we lacked last year.
