Just wondering if anyone knew if Alex Brown is being retained for next year.
Obviously hasn't featured much for the Centurions after a shaky start to the season, but seemed to do well for Batley?
Thoughts please?

Hi Tony
Stuart is employed by the Leigh Centurions Foundation and following the departure of John Duffy earlier this year to Swinton was promoted to Manager of it.
He has studied hard in recent years whilst playing semi professional at Leigh and is a highly motivated and qualified lad with a very important role delivering in the community in the name of Leigh Centurions.
In my opinion the work these guys do along with the great work of others is really having a positive effect on our town and community as a whole and having a positive impact on the lives of young people so im glad someone of his calibre has taken it on and will be active around the club and town.

Alex Brown created a serious buzz when he signed. We all had great expectations - at last a winger with genuine pace etc, etc.
It is however obvious that something came seriously undone and there is clearly more to it than a couple of errors at Barrow. We must conclude that he has not been retained for good reasons.
I suggest we leave it at that as the silence is deafening. Let's just move on and celebrate the performances of both Liam Kay and Adam Higson who have both made outstanding contributions as very important members of an outstanding team this season.
I hope these two guys make the difference for us tomorrow.

Not sure of any conspiracy theories, I'd just saw Higson, Kay and Pownall have all performed better than Brown for Leigh this season.

Higson's try today and Liam Kay's composure with the ball and the pass, when making break after break, was the perfect way to support your point TS.
Brown is quick and strong but Higson and Kay have that, and great defense, and good hands, and great positioning, and the attitude the coach demands, and......
All the best to Alex Brown though. He has talent for sure. |
