I'm sure Dave parky said it was 700 up on the play off fixture between the two sides last year.
If the lads carrying on playing like this,and the word gets about,surely the crowds will build and build.

I must admit , I for one didn't think the result would have been so emphatic , we scored some cracking tries out there today , personally I think Ryan B will have plenty of tries this season , backing up the breaks and passes, he showed today what he can really do , I was impressed with everybody , but for me Duffy and Sarsfield along with Spenner got through a lot of hard work .As has been said when the grounds get drier , it will be frightening , bring it on .Well done to all the Lads , hopefully the following will increase , 2,173 is not bad for starters .

What a brilliant performance for an opening game! A crowd of 2,173 was 500+ up on the corresponding home fixture against Batley last season, or 750+ up on our first home league gate last season. (Hunslet)

What's more, they are surely all going to want to come back for more, after seeing that style of play. Much more of that and we'll be nicking Saints' nickname - 'The Entertainers!'

Fantastic performance by everyone, a great win and really laid down our mark. As has been said Duffy really put some effort in, another game like that and he'll have silenced everyone that was saying we should have let him go. Higson had another fantastic game on the wing and for me is our 1st choice winger but if I'd have picked man of the match it'd have gone to Littler, had a great game, set up several trys, defended well and just generally gave 100%.

Well I said a win by 20 and hoped for more. This however is a dream start. I've only seen highlights so far but our pack looks very scary going forward and I'm sure our game plan will be to let them tire out teams early on, with relentless running, then move the ball wide for the backs to do there stuff as the game goes on (or Spencer

It was the warrington game that finally made me confident of a strong start to the season. Specifically the first half. We looked every bit as good as them throughout that first half, and I could see a lot of teams having trouble containing our pack at Championship level.
Early doors I know, and we are sure to have a blip, but I'm confident we are top 2 contenders.
Great start by the boys, well done to PR and his coaching staff for putting on the jazz game one, and well done to every Leyther that went along and put us over 2000.
