Alan i would like to think so because it's quite in depth not just sound bites. In fairness there are quite a few opinions from coaches and others on both sides of the debate but the louder voices look to be in the NO camp.

If they had heard his interview on GMR after sundays game it would have put it all to rest. The lady from Wigan who was on just before Paul wasn't half giving it to Gary Hetherington about the DC system and Jack Dearden was trying to defend it.

So the official club statement has come from Rowley via league express,well done the club.
Just 9 more clubs to say they'll brake the links they have with individual clubs, and the championship can be seen as a league in its own right again and not a sl reserve league.

All the clubs who are twinned have to say on the argument is "we haven't broke any rules" meaning the system has more holes than a string vest.

Its great to hear Paul is against it (I don't buy League Express so will see if I can get a copy from somewhere to read his thoughts).
Ideally I still would have liked to see the club do a low key reaction via our media lines (be that twitter, website or other) as its a massive issue to a large amount of our fan base (even if it was a 'we don't need to add anything further to this debate , the RFL are quite clear where Leigh Centurions stand on this subject and our fans know our position on this as nothing has changed since it was discussed previously').

Maybe our board could have a page on these types of issues should they crop up as a Q&A in the programme from time to time with direct written or emailed questions to the club from fans ?
Anything that opens direct dialogue between club and fan is a positive and creates a family unit which the current board do seem to be trying to achieve.

Whilst I like to keep the programme 'topical' - hence I don't have a 'drawer full of prepared aricles' in reserve - the programme isn't always the ideal vehicle for announcements such as the one being suggested. There is nearly always at least a fortnight between home games, and I would think that the websites/local press are more suitable media to use.

I see Jon Wilkin on the SL show last night thinks it's a good idea. He will do if it's keeping his members playing won't he.

Should keep his trap shut. He may end up slogging up to Whitehaven in the middle of Winter!

Is it just me who finds Wilkin to be one arrogant fella...... On a playing front he does more cheap shots than Ryan Bailey but never seems to be as villified as the former.

The Watcher agrees with Bartholemew Smythe 100%, Wilkin is a dirty, sneaky coward of a player, the number of pens he gives away is stupid.
