I've been reliably informed that Josh Ward's appearance on Saturday has put him near the top of the list for the title of youngest ever player to appear in a Leigh first team game, aged 16 years and 352 days. Apparently the leader may be Jason Donohue who played against Rochdale in March 1989 aged 16 years and 328 days.
Can anyone think of any other contenders?

Can't think of any others in recent times. Jason Donohue was a class act when he burst onto the scene.
Paul Rowley, Simon Baldwin and Scott Martin must have been very young 17 year olds. As would have been Chris Hill when he debuted for Leigh in Super League.

Hill was 2 months short of turning 18 when he played against Saints in Super League by the looks of it. |
