| Over the last few days I have seen lots of good ideas about how we can all pump our money into the club. Now this is all well and good but I don't see any ideas of how we attract new or lapsed fans. There may well be attendees who don't particularly support Leigh but for whom it was merely the nearest place that they could watch a reasonable level of RL. So how to bring them back? Realise what the club is and price it accordingly. No one is going to pay Heinz prices for smart price beans. Price the product according to the quality. In other words attractively priced tickets reflecting a team that will compete but won't break any pots. A couple of years of that may have brought new fans that have become loyal and we won't have any pie in the sky aspirations. I now wait to be shot down.

| I agree just depends on what we can afford to give tickes for . We can't slash them too much without an income

| Tickets are the income. Everybody likes the idea of getting something for not much. Promote the idea of club, community and then flog it at a price that people can't believe. May not bring in more money but could bring in more bodies, bodies that are ripe for conversion.

| Well if we sold 800 tickets last year 1200 ish paid so we should perhaps give out forms that people fill in there details and how often they go. Then target the ones that don't go a lot by emailing or sending offers to.

Totally irrelevant, we do not need to worry about new or lapsed fans - we focus on the now and it will be the converted who will spread the gospel and raise the cash.
Once we are in a better place we can focus on raising income and enhancing the club Leigh Experience for the hardcore, this is much easier than raising gates in this league

| Perhaps I've been getting this wrong then. For years we've been encourged to spread the word, bring a friend etc etc. Apparently this is irrelevant and the few that already turn up bear the cost between them. Never mind the idea was there. It's alright dealing with the here and now, but what about next season, season after and so on or do we just have perennial here and nows? Have we not spent years lurching from one crisis to the next without any apparent realistic forward planning? Who remembers the year that we gave SL contracts to players and then didn't get promoted?

| The best thing you guys can ever ever do is build a young kids club like the junior robins that got reborn back in 2001 i think.
It wont show for years but get the kids interested and after a while the next generation will come thru.
Mascots, kids parties, special meet the players nights just for junior members, loads of ideas help get the kids enjoying RL.
£5 or somat to join and a couple of benefits such as birthday, xmas cards etc and beleive you me the kids will nag the adults to go to matches.

| Already in the pipeline is that one Peter, we had a very good one ourselves when at Hilton Park but like everything else it went west when Arthur started to bankrole the club we all became complacent, but like the phoenix we shall arise.

| In some respects one of the worst things that happened to Leigh RL was Super League. Before we attained that lofty height we had a cracking "family club" you attended the match, had a few pints after, kids all played together etc etc. SL was achieved and all stopped and then the move to LSV.

| True...... a lot of money was spent after the matches in the Mick Martyn bar, with the disco etc.
This is something that needs to get going at the LSV.... BUT charging each season to be allowed in the bar is a no no IMO as it puts people of the extra cost - the LSV/Leigh Rlfc will earn money by stopping this (could also have a table selling shirts etc like is currently done in the legends bar).

I think it is a case of priorities. Firstly, we need a club in existence in the first place. And then shaping the club and attracting new fans comes later.
One of the good things I've noticed is that through Trevor, the club is reaching out to people to come and help. This can only encourage engagement and hopefully, the news spreads that good thigns are happening at Leigh and new supporters will want to be a part of it.
Very welcome as Arthur Thomas and his money were, in a sense, the feeling of ownership amongst the fans was lost as a result.
Now as fans, we are being asked to grow up and be responsible for the future of the club. I think that is a good thing.

| Is there a charge for the 'Legends Bar' these days? there was always a corporate lounge at HP the difference being at the LSV us mere mortals are allowed in for a fee, or is the suggestion that people who pay a premium shouldn't get special treatment?
