Rex Mossop died in Sydney this morning. Possibly the best forward who ever played for Leigh and a gentleman into the bargain

Sorry to hear that , a friend of mine was a team mate of his at Leigh ,he will be very upset .

If you can get hold of a copy I can highly recommend his autobiography "The moose that roared"

A legend of Leigh and of the RL world. Moose was very complementary of the Leighh people, he never forgot the warmth and generosity of the townsfolk. And we'll never forget him. RIP Moose.

I had the pleasure of meeting The Moose in a pub in Halifax about 20 years ago, prior to a Halifax v Australia tour match. He had time for everybody. Rest in peace Moose

There should be a minute's silence at today's game.

There was a minutes silence today but it was n`t for Rex Mossop. Surely the club were aware of his passing?

Mystified me that it was not mentioned.

It was a surprise that it didn't get a mention.

The plank with the mike didn't help the occasion by uttering "doubting" instead of "doting"

Let`s hope the club honour Rex Mossop at our next Home game...............Once a Leyther always a Leyther.

Thing is though - the next home game is over a month away!!
