Who is being negative, now Trevor would make a great CEO to negotiate with LSV and bring the fans/business together

I do not do rumours and my smell the coffee thread was to get things moving quickly.

I wrote what I assume from the evidence is true and am quite happy for a current director to say what I have posted is not true.

We fans need to keep this team together until the end of the season to maintain the clubs' momentum. Waiting for a couple of weeks in the hope we can get several hundred people to join LISA would take too long in my view and might cause real unrest amongst our players if they are worried about their next months paycheck.

I have made my pledge because of where our club is. I have no interest in a seat in the West stand.

I want the club to suceed and following my thread setting the alarm bells ringing it seems we are now seeing some speedy action from the people who are capable of taking our club forward.

Nobody better than Trevor to negotiate a better deal with the LSV.

I still don't see how getting fans to contribute financially to the club can be seen as negative. Its hardly as though they are going to turn round and say "no thanks, we have enough money now! Anyway, I do welcome Trevors appointment on an interim basis, we need an experienced hand on the tiller.

We now have a acting chief ex,who I trust as the man to move us forward.

He comes on tv and in a 30 second interveiw crushes the negative nellies and all there threads.

He is meeting the accountants to see were the club is now and will be at the end of the season,like he said putting plans into place and bringing in new investment,now does that sound like doom and gloom or sound like a man looking to strengthen the club?

Now maurice you keep bleating on about this fans thing but like I said before lisa is set up and running to pour funds into the club even extra ones from fans wanting to help,run lisa if you think you can do it better.

With the lack of mentions of trev barton being chief ex on here its seems certain tell tailers are still out of the loop,good

i know he is the new ceo but you thought he would have talked to his staff, he came out of the lsv offices ignored the club staff and drove away. when asked was he going to speak to the staff in the club office he said i didnt know i had come here to speak to them.

Nope,just pointing out its not all doom and gloom,I'm made up we have a bloke incharge now to steady the ship.

About a year too far for that Kath but I think there is a lot more bargaining power for the rugby, especially as the LSV's potential option for Sale to move in now seems very unlikely, and I think we've got far more chance of the LSV listening to effectively one of their own in Trevor.

Isn't it cart before horse? Wouldn't he have been better checking the position with the accountants first?

I actually didnt know it had been announced. Trevor was a great supporter of the supporters trust concept a few years ago, I look forward to working with him but I would have checked the figures first as well.

As far as we know on here the CC are the only group who are interested in taking over the club,if they cant fund the club for the next 3/4 years then we're in trouble. No one is really being negative,some people are showing there concern others are coming out with ideas to raise funds if they're needed,sadly others have gone out of there way to wind people up and have come out with no ideas at all.

I don't know much about Trevor Barton, if someone could give me a quick PM to tell me who he is and what he does it would be appreciated.

What I do know is it is nice that a few people are now coming out and it seems a few people are trying to get it all sorted, my brother said that Andy Burnham has tweeted about getting new investors into the club, so cogs are begining to move hopefully.

Not being funny here but who has appointed him as CE, and based on what. No idea where he fits in relation to the club - not aware that he has shares or anything

Don't think AR had shares. I assume the remaining directors appointed him. Scanning all these threads I don't think anyone will be good enough. Too many grudges about too many people, and I would have to admit if certain people were involved I'd struggle too. But we need our club to be saved and we do not have the time for all this bickering.

Havn't seen a email or a release on the club website so is it true or not.
Apart from Basil on Radio Manc last night I havn't seen anything that offers a different opinion other than the press releases quoting our former chairmen and Chief Exec neither of which stated any dire future for the club

With things going into meltdown could someone trustworthy such as Fred or Dave Parky get a interview from whoever is running the club (or even Basil) so the fans of this club know exactly what is fact and what is fiction.

Could you give a brief outline of what he said (basically did he back up what Basil said last night) and if so what the actual situation is and if a robust realistic plan is in place and when it starts , who is involved etc, etc.
In fact anything mentioned for those of us who didn't see it.

Might be a idea if they can keep the lads that do the website in the loop, communication is vital at these times and our website has been one of the best in sport for upto date info.

Who are now conspicious by their absence ? Or perhaps more likely, I am just reading far to much into things?. Have we really been to the moon?
