Must say though that there are some strange choices in there. Chris Hill has been overlooked AGAIN this year at prop

Dickens is a great prop but there is no way that Hesketh is anywhere near Hilly this season.

Goulden and Taylor (amongst others) are both better 2nd rowers than Doran.

Surely Kyle Briggs should be in the team as he has been the stand out player in our league this season.

Rooney is only in there because he's a big name because he's been average this season.

And also I would have thought that Ropati or Yere from Sheffield would have claimed a centre spot.

Its not a bad team by any means but there are a lot of improvements that could be made to it.

But anyway well done Nanyn he's frustrating at times but when he shows up he can be devastating (such as when he destroyed widnes...... twice

)

Will bow to their superior knowledge, but I've only missed one game this season (Limoux) and I've yet to see any prop play better than Hilly.

Ropati has done well to be in the Sheffield squad this season on some of his performances, Taulapapa is unlucky not to be in, agree with you that Briggs has been better than Rooney

Teams like this always attract criticism from biased twerps like you who believe that your teams players should all be in the XIII. How do you know that Hill has been head and shoulder above Hesketh this season? Have you watched every single Batley game? Its a bit like me saying the Hesketh is miles better than Hill, despite me only having seen three or four games involving Leigh all season.

I don't feel that all Leigh players should be in at all and haven't suggested anything of the sort. In fact if I was picking the team I would not have picked Nanyn in the centres as I feel there are better players around in this league. The only player from the Leigh team that I feel DEFINATELY deserves to be in the squad is Chris Hill. Him and Dickens are (IMO obviously) the best 2 props in this league by a distance and have been for the last few seasons.

There are a few other players in our team who I feel would be in with a shout in various positions but there is only Hill that I feel has been wrongly overlooked. If you would bother to read my post properly you would see I also feel some great players from OTHER teams have also been wrongly overlooked such as Briggs at 'Fev so I wasn't on some purely PRO Leigh rant.

As for me being a 'biased twerp'... I seriously doubt that you would have bothered to moan about my post if I hadn't suggested Hill for a position which was occupied by a Batley player. Hesketh is a great player and has clearly played well to get picked for the squad but (again, IMO) he is not as good a player as Chris Hill who I feel is destined for great things in Super League in the near future.

If it makes you feel better I would have put both briggs and handforth into the team at stand off before rooney

I can only assume JB hasn't seen Hill play.

The worst choice in that team is Rooney. There have been so many better stand offs around this season.

I was going to criticise you on this idiotic, predictable, ill-informed post. But you used the word 'twerp', so I wouldn't want you to use words like that towards me.

How Hilly and Duffs have missed out on selection is beyond me!

Hesketh has been outstanding all season for Batley and has not had a poor match, as I am sure Hill has for you. Both are destined for great things so I guess it was a matter of subjectivity. I am delighted Sean is in the team, but would not have questioned Hill being in as the few times I have seen him he has also been a stand out player. I also reckon Watene would have a good case for being included.

As for Rooney being selected, I really think he has been, at best only 5th best this year in that position, but again, based only on the few times I have seen him play.

How the young Fev winger Zak Hardaker hasn't got into the side is beyond me. The most dangerous winger in the league.

Doran has been very consistent this season, despite his tendency to give away penalties. I suppose not everyone is going to be happy and it's hard to judge the selection unless you've seen each player in a number of games, it's very easy for us to say Duffy, Hill, Taylor etc should be in there because we watch them week in week out but there's a chance there's another player doing the same at Sheffield, Widnes, Batley etc.

Lee Doran has been one of the most consistent Widnes players this year.He used to annoy me with his penalities, but has cut them out this year.Now he is a better player as strong,speed,and has a good offload.To be honest you do not see Lee Doran every week to judge.We can all be biased to our own team.Fev and Fax should have more players in the squad as the league table does not lie.

I hate to say this but from TV performances he has looked solid and disciplined and from what I remember puts long stints in - but he is not JT

He's that good Widnes have released him.

Doran has been great for us this season often doing 80mins a game and I am sure his stats stand out (maybe how they work this?). He's played with a pack full of youngsters at time and never let us down!

Cook has to be at 9 as has been great this season!
