| Why don't we, just this once, try and get a crowd in. If fans have got a ticket to the Eng-Fra game, a season ticket for any club, book before the game and you get in for 3 quid, kids free. At the England-France game put a massive banner up promoting the offer, you might even get a few neutrals at the England game saying, I fancy that for a few quid.

| Shared gate I think Batley would have to agree, as would the RFL to advertise at thier 'gig'.

| Thats an average of £9 lost for every paying specator (£16 adult + £8 child/2) - £3 admission fee.
Multiply 2000 spectators x £9 = £18,000
£18,000 divide by £3 admission fee = 6000 fans
It means mate that to get the same income for your promotion verses a normal 2000 gate you would need a crowd of 6000.
Nice idea but its got to make commercial sense!

| Think it would have to be a minimum of a fiver, but it's up to the club and us as fans to make a deal of this and make it a really big occasion. To be honest, I'm a lot more confident of that now than I was at Hilton Park.

| Even if it were a fiver, i'd just get bums on seats. Even if it's kids get in for free with an England ticket.
3600 adults at a fiver (like Matt says) =18000
1800 people at an average of 9 quid =16200
Easy to make figures support your arguement.

Not knocking it pal just saying it has to be commercially sound, £10 and £5 with a family of 4 for £25 would be my drive!
All Batley fans in the south stand, family of four tickets initially for north west stand, any school/junior club promotions in east stand.
See no reason why we should not get at least 3500, no need to think low crowds on a Thursday night for the last 2 years they have been our biggest crowds.

| Makes sense to me, Ste - think Batley should be reasonably receptive as well judging by the offers they had for the Catalans game.

£10 and £5 would be my call too. Plug it as much as possible at the England match as a 'special offer' and a big match and see if we can get some neutrals down. We should be aiming for 3000+ for this match.

| We've no chance of plugging it at the England game and, with Leyth-tinted glasses off, I think that's probably the best thing for it. However, get some posters knocked up this week when the prices are confirmed and plaster the town with them.

| Unsure what the club would have budgetted for in terms of cup games but a home semi must be considered a bonus and one if marketed correctly could entice the public back for our remaining league home games.
I think your right Matt with regards Batley I think they would bring a few hundred at those prices!!

If we can't announce it over the tannoy there is nothing to stop us putting up loads of posters/notices on the walls near the turnstyles with prices/times etc. Around 12000 RL fans will be going through those turnstyles on saturday, I'd like to think we could convince a few hundred to come back on thursday, especially if there is some sort of offer or discount on.

| Are you sure the crowd on Sat will be any where near 12K. Can you believe the SL champions kick off at the same time??
Imagine the promotion in London come and watch the English RL champions for the last 3 years play the mighty Quins.
The game will also clash with the English rugby league playing France not to mention the England football teams game against the USA, could this only happen in RL?

| Think sales are well over 9,000 and that's without the traditional "week of the game" rush - would expect it to be close to a sell out, personally.

| Anyone know if capacity is set at 10,000 for this game ? We have allocated seating so wondering if this is still the case.
We should see if the Sky Plasma fits on the frame.

Ground has 10,000 seats that can virtually all be used with it being reserved seating - don't forget there's another 2,700ish in the North as well
Any chance of Sky 'forgetting' their Sky and just leaving it up for the semi?

| I heard that nearly 10k had been sold, hope that's true. I just don't think we've ever had such a great opportunity to promote a game. We've got 10-12k people coming 4 days before a big semi final. I know loads of Rugby League fans going to the England game that don't watch Leigh, what if a hundred people enjoy going to both games, get to be familiar with the surroundings, where to park and love the facility and the atmosphere? Maybe if we get 100 regular Leythers out of it? Is that not a achievable target?

| Can we still put our Leigh flags up and if so perhaps add something about the price of the tickets on them so that it gets seen by those that are not coming to the game.

| Jonny the only thing Leyth-related about next Saturday is the red and white seats - it's an England game and, to be quite honest, I wouldn't be happy if I was a non-Leyther coming to watch our national side and had Leyth promotions rammed down me throat all night.
(At a push, you can include at least two St. George's flags that are Leigh ones that will be up in the North Stand )

| An idea may be to make it half price for season ticket holders of any rugby league side as an admission price, then even if only our own and Batleys turn up the loss wouldnt be that great.

| Putting a few billboards up, an advert on the screen and maybe something in the programme wouldn't be ramming it down poeples throats. They don't have to go. It will be a poor attendance on the thursday without season ticket holders and it being on telly.
