I've been an avid reader of this forum for years but never felt compelled to post on this message board before tonight.

I heard far too many leigh fans complaining about the teams performance tonight, it may just be fans coming out of the woodwork, and espcially criticising players who i thought have stood up well this season.

At the end of the day we lost by 8 points (i think ive had a shandy or 2 so may be a couple of points out) against aparently the best team in the competition who have had 2 weeks off and we looked knakered.

Although we had a very good reason to look knakered having had 2 very difficult games when they have had 2 weeks off.

I take my hat off to Fev who had a game plan and stuck to it but come play off time I've no doubt a fit Leigh side will beat them.

And i applaud all the lads who tried they're best tonight but it was never a level playing field

So stop whinging we'll win everything this year.

Its easy to forget that we've played both bradford and Widnes in the time that they have had off to rest and prepare for this game. They we're the better team tonight and looked far more fresh. They played far better in nearly every department and yet we managed to stay within 8 points.

Wouldn't have taken a bonus point before the game but at the end of the match I was amazed that we had got one.

Fev were the better side tonight, certainly no getting away from that fact.

We tried things near the line that have come off in pretty much every other game, but I think a defeat like this is often a good thing to keep people's feet on the ground and maybe re-emphasise the need for a 'plan B'.

Let's hope we're back to our best at 'Haven, get your scarves up!

i think you are correct in what you say there i said before the game it was going to be a tough ask and when i saw the lads looking tired in the first 20 and slow i knew feath would come out on top. i believe we are far better side than them and i think it will show when it gets to the playoffs. I also think that toulouse will turn them over aswell. We have had Hicks in 3 games that i can remember and he is consistently BAD and loves being the centre of attention from his facial expressions i think Laughton would be better then him. Lets get behind the lads at Whitehaven now!!!

We looked lacklustre from the beginning. There was no snap in our play and we looked tired. Featherstine played very well and deserved the win. We will bounce back from this.

Its not that easy to forget, you keep going on about it.



It will have had some effect but its swings and roundabouts, so you just have to take the rough with the smooth.
