One hell of a signing that, though I think he's just moving gradually more northern until he ends up at Gateshead.

Was excellent in Div 1 with Huddersfield but this is a different time and he had a cracking pack then.

There's gotta be something they're not telling us about this signing. It says he's turned down offers from more high profile clubs but I find that hard to believe.

We got Robbie Paul right at the end of his career but surely Thorman can punch his weight at a higher level for another 3 years at least.

He's got his first chance at coaching that must have beenn a good draw plus they would be able to up his wages without putting it on the salary cap because of his coaching, seems win win to me.

indeed, thought like that when they signed Lee Jackson a few years back.

We get a few quid off the council to pay for the community development work, and he'll be one of our development officers, which will top up his wage and it wont cost the club any money. He's also going to be one of the assistant coaches as well as a player.

any 'income' (and yes the council grant is classed as income) is counted on the salary cap, they have also tightened up on the 'community dept' rules this year.

Dont forget he hasn't been SL standard for a while now.
He has more than likely found his true level.
