Well let`s hope the RFL organise it better than the last one over here which very nearly bankrupt the RFL and did finish off at least one national side from some South Sea Island country.They insisted on playing the matches in places where they don`t play rugby league like Southern Island in torrential rain.It did not look good on television with all the empty stadia.

Fancy a group game at Leigh. Even if it's Fiji vs Lebanon or summat along those lines, it'd be a huge honour for the town to host it.

not with a devided set of teams like England , Scotland , Wales etc , just to pad the comp out and have a dozen poor teams and the Aussies and Kiwis to justify being a world game



I'd rather just have a 4 team round robin and final comp with GB , Aus , NZ and PNG ( and France if they ever get to a decent standard )

Quality rather than Quantity

You never know, who would have thought NZ would win the last one? And with some very good young players coming through now we'll have a fair chance on home soil.

I'm sure that the players 1st choice of country would be England and if they dont make the team then they put there hands up for Wales ,Ireland, and Scotland,all the best players can play for England i'm sure.Anyway its not what stops us winning the Aussies ,its the fact that the Engish clubs have Aussies in pivotol roles .

The decisions over the past couple of years have been diabolical yet they dont have the sense to chage them for the good of the game (and thats ALL the game NOT the priveledged few) until we can get our own house in order as a body we shouldn't be considering hosting what is after all at the moment (but shouldn't be) a 'pie in the sky' competition.

You know the biggest irony of all this?

THe RL World Cup SHOULD have been in 2012 (2008 + 4, for any Wigginers reading).

But Dicky Lewis didn't want to lose a media opportunity by holding it in the year of the Olympics.
