Hansen and Brown both verbally agreed contracts with us for next season, just waiting for i’s to be dotted and t’s crossed. Burr has an offer but not accepted and unlikely to do so. Higson been told he can go, no offer from Leigh.

Duffs had a good relationship with him when he was at Leigh so may get his head right and back on the straight and narrow.

IMO... we're ok for outside backs. Full back may be an issue.
If it comes to either McNally or higgy, I'd take McNally any day....
We may get neither... I've No idea what we're fiscally committed to.
Awaits developments.... if indeed there are any.

Good news re Brown and Hansen both quality, would love to retain McNally but sounding unlikely. Think we need some continuity of players to help new ones gel.

Do we not have coaches capable of setting out the professional standards expected!

I'm sure we do, maybe some players aren't capable of meeting those standards

Hansen seems to be expected, and his experience will be invaluable with the young squad we are assembling - 110% week in week out

Brown would be a pleasant surprise, thought he'd have been released with the quota spots filling up. Needs to get a proper run at FB, with the obvious versatility across the back 5 and comes across as a model pro

Well preseason started today. The leigh team all had there scientific assesments done in their new training gear. The 5 in my previous post trained elsewhere in last years gear and not with this years squad.

They all fighting a court case against leigh

Would've thought any legal action should ultimately fall on the RFL, seeing as they voided the contracts.

Wouldn't be a court case anyway. It would be a tribunal.

It could be damaging or at the least disruptive, the fact that they are still knocking around the club and without a contract - well one we are unaware of - says that there is something going on.

Contracts are only voided when the current season expires, which appears to be 30th November contractually . The issue as I read it is that the club aren't paying up to that date

I always thought contracts were up 1 st November as pre season starts near that date? Must be related to SL contracts being void after relegation or SL funding ceasing

Contracts end November 30th and some players who left last year had to take legal action before they got paid

I don't know about the current situation but last year they trained away from the club not with the 2017 players
