Young players get all the SL opportunity they need. There isn't enough to go round as it is imo, not of SL quality anyway.
There's room for one more north west club imo, you and Widnes in a scrap Harry Hill style.

i believe there's a surplus of british players who are not getting a chance because of the pressure on the bigger clubs inparticular to get instant success.wakey are a good example they had 4/5 players in there team who had played for us a season or to before.how many players did wigan let go who came through the ranks and then went on to better things.they are there they are not getting the opportunity

Although the new quota rules are being abused by some clubs there has been an influx of British talent now getting an opportunity and you'll see quite a bit at Wakey in a couple of years.
Give the current system a couple more years and I honestly feel you'll see this, teams now have less foreigners than ever ESPECIALLY Quins who I think have the lowest in the league?
They remind me of yourselves, not great sucess on the field but a high percentage of british players that gets overlooked.

Come 2012 I think you, salford, Widnes and Barrow are vying for one spot in the north west, at this time i dont think there's the players for any more

i hope your right about clubs giving an opportunity to british players cos if it does'nt happen the scrapping P&R has been a complete waste of time.on the issue of success very few teams are successfull in SL unless your warrington then you can afford to buy a trophy

Not a dummy spit at all, we've paid transfer fees for about 4 players in ten years, the rest, same as everyone else goes under the cap. We've never broken it either.

4 although Mathers was also at Warrington as a young young kid before being brought through the ranks at Leeds.
I'd be the first to admit in days gone by we haven't been the best at bringing through talent, that's changing now however and our starting 13 is mostly British.
People like Briers, Clarke, Bridge and westwood have been at Warrington since kids for years too even if they initially they were developed elsewhere. The same way you couldn't class john wilkin or ade gardner as saints products.
