Okay, Bongser will keep this brief. The top six teams in The Championship played the bottom six this weekend and collectively spanked their oppo’s Aristotles. As it turned out this was an absolutely pointless pointfest. 406 scored in only 6 matches (a rather convenient meaningless mean of exactly 68 points a game). Effect on Championship standings: Jack!!



Godda’dmit that Bongser didn’t think too profoundly about this week’s games when setting the bonus. He ended up rooting for WLJ as the only non-taker of the Jokermon. That would mean Leigh winning but an upset elsewhere that would favour Leythe. Not to be, alack & alas.

ALL the Nine Walkers called a Pokemon, eight converted it into a Jokermon. WLJ played his Joker on the Leigh result, called the correct winner and got an extra four points for his trouble. He scored a total (with Attendance Point) of 37. A curiously symmetrical coincidence saw the eight others in attendance (with no correct margins or exact scorelines) score 73 points.

Bongser will risk using the same oxymoron again – a pointless pointfest. The eight also get a WWB of 25 apiece and (with it totting up to 98 points each) not surprisingly also moved up into a new century on the scoreboard. England's 50 over boys were racking the score up earlier this week, as was Southgate’s “youth team” (think the oldest player is Young) today. One of those weeks!
