Very much doubt chase will contribute as many points to your season as Brierley has over the past too seasons.

Reminds me of Shaun Edwards the way he backs up and is always in the right leave at the right time.

Of all the players we have let go the only ones I was genuinely disappointed to lose were Sarsfield and Haggerty.

Even those 2 I still wouldn't have in our 1st choice 17 if we were anything like full strength.

Players like Wilkes and Goulden are big losses and were fantastic for us but they were mid 30's and starting to wind down.

The rest were solid but on the whole not good enough to genuinely push for SL.

You can't account for 10 players missing before the season had barely started.

Our backline has drastically changed every single week. 5 different half back pairing in 4 games! We are in a mess at the minute. Badly need some stability and consistency in our team. We will never gel if we are just putting out whoever is fit enough to get through 80 minutes each week.

Were those your current players sat with Rowley at tonight's game? Not counting Brierley I mean, I didn't recognise any of the other faces around there.
But given what Derek said recently about Rowley approaching his players and staff, that came across as an almost deliberate swipe at DB.

All this should certainly make Derek's next column interesting, if nothing else.

Got it in one pal. Beaumont is doing an excellent job of ruining the club. We need a good wealthy sponsor,but not someone who wants to overule the coach with regards to team selection. Losing Brierley will be a major loss and just the start of our fall from grace.

I spotted Paul and Allan Rowley, Higson, Harper, Brierley, Hopkins, Emmitt, Maitua and McNally.

Maybe it was in Ryan's contract, when Allan Rowley leaves the club, then he becomes a free agent, within 4 weeks of giving notice !

This. You need to him paid up soon and get shut, lots of unrest and a major cause is Rangi. Contributed to losing your coach and many players not happy too. His lifestyle choices aren't pleasing many of them.

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone at the moment, however the club are their own worst enemies,they need to issue a statement letting all leigh fans know what's going on. If it is players misbehaving then get rid and say so publicly so that we can move on. I can't speak for every fan at the club, but the ones I go with on match days are all pretty fed up with it all. It won't be long before numbers dwindle and well needed gate money goes with it. Watching Salford last night makes me think we can move on and get back on track, Marwan leaving playing matters to the coach seems to be working.

Seems like Marwan learned when you want something too much and try to buy a team you destroy its soul.

As an outsider I think Beaumont seems to be at the root of all the problems.

As for Brierley, I think he is a fantastic player at backing up but I am not sure he has the skill, craft and guile to break down a super league defence. I may well be proved wrong but I don't think he will be all that effective at SL level.

Brierley the next Greg Mcnally for me, time will tell though.

The players being out with Rowley isn't a surprise, he enjoyed success with most of them and always was a players coach. In my opinion he didn't want Rangi and the issues have stemmed from that signing since. We can all say we wont point fingers but if you have enjoyed success as a team then someone comes in earning in some cases x4 the wage your on it is going to cause issues. Has Rangi's application so far been deserving of his salary? I doubt it and that was probably the reason Rowley walked as Derek was protecting HIS signings, not taking into consideration the lads who we have all enjoyed watching for the past few years.

We all saw the debates about Rangi at Salford being" out of love with the game", is his "injury" physical? obviously I hope the lad gets well soon but from the outside looking in the dressing room and board room seems to be toxic at the moment. And I have a feeling more of the players who have been at the club for a while will be leaving.

If it is Chase then DB needs to take a deep breath, admit he made a mistake and get rid of him. I would then ask Rowley to come back and maybe Ryan may decide to stay. All happy again but it all comes down to how DB handles this. He could fix it or he could dig his heels in and blow it.
