As far as we know on here the CC are the only group who are interested in taking over the club,if they cant fund the club for the next 3/4 years then we're in trouble. No one is really being negative,some people are showing there concern others are coming out with ideas to raise funds if they're needed,sadly others have gone out of there way to wind people up and have come out with no ideas at all.

I don't know much about Trevor Barton, if someone could give me a quick PM to tell me who he is and what he does it would be appreciated.

What I do know is it is nice that a few people are now coming out and it seems a few people are trying to get it all sorted, my brother said that Andy Burnham has tweeted about getting new investors into the club, so cogs are begining to move hopefully.

Don't think AR had shares. I assume the remaining directors appointed him. Scanning all these threads I don't think anyone will be good enough. Too many grudges about too many people, and I would have to admit if certain people were involved I'd struggle too. But we need our club to be saved and we do not have the time for all this bickering.

Havn't seen a email or a release on the club website so is it true or not.
Apart from Basil on Radio Manc last night I havn't seen anything that offers a different opinion other than the press releases quoting our former chairmen and Chief Exec neither of which stated any dire future for the club

With things going into meltdown could someone trustworthy such as Fred or Dave Parky get a interview from whoever is running the club (or even Basil) so the fans of this club know exactly what is fact and what is fiction.

Could you give a brief outline of what he said (basically did he back up what Basil said last night) and if so what the actual situation is and if a robust realistic plan is in place and when it starts , who is involved etc, etc.
In fact anything mentioned for those of us who didn't see it.

Might be a idea if they can keep the lads that do the website in the loop, communication is vital at these times and our website has been one of the best in sport for upto date info.

Who are now conspicious by their absence ? Or perhaps more likely, I am just reading far to much into things?. Have we really been to the moon?

It really begars belief some of the comments I am reading on this board. Grow up and get behind the club and sod everything else. Why have a dig at people who may or may not know anything about what is going on. Is it just jealousy that they are at the club or is it something else. I want this club to prosper and when the right people are ready to tell me everything is ok without lying I will be happy. I'm not reading any more of this crap and I'm just going to look for positive threads that are telling me we are safe. I am upping my contributions to LISA in an attempt to help, lets all do something and be positive.

He mentioned the negative nellies rather than crushed them and admitted that he hadn't a clue how bad the situation was and what was ahead in the next few months. , he has links with the LSV , he has lots of business contacts , his offer was accepted

I am not Trevors biggest fan , but he has put his hand up to help , and therefore he should recieve whatever help he can be given

Last week LISA contacted the club to suggest an appeal was made at a game to get another 1,000 fans signed up to LISA , and that the club approach the Corporate Club to match the equivalent amount ( £ 60,000 ) to secure the short term future of the club , this commitment to be from now until the end of next season , basically to give the club a guaranteed £ 120,000 next year as well as seeing us through the rest of this one

Hopefully we will receive a positive response from the club on this , if we do , it will be the intention to print 2,000 LISA application forms , with a message from the club explaining the reasons why on the other side , these forms to be given to every fan as they come through the turnstiles at the Dewsbury match

Hopefully an appeal from the club to be given at half time at the match , and once again we would need volunteers to give up one hour of their time to not only give out these forms but to impress upon everybody entering how important they are

How about the club offering season tickets to LISA members at a discount ?

OK, I know in hindsight it would probably cost more for the individual, but would give the club a fine base to work on.

Its been 10 years since I withdrew from LISA, but this could be one way of getting fans back in the mould to help and having a consistant income as a result.

JiC - let's just see what Trev can do...he has only just taken on this role and understandably he has doing nothing yet. Frankly if he has not looked at the books yet any rhetoric rings hollow to me...

Personally I am not a fan of Bartons for various reasons, however, one thing that can be said of him is that he gets things done one way or another and is extremely well connected and influential.

The ideal person to take on the CEO role whether it may in the Interim, part -time or whatever.

Nows the time to listen to what he has to say, back him, and get the future of the club sorted not for today,tomorrow, next week, next month but for for future years to come for our chidren and grandchildren to enjoy as we have for many a year.

EVERYONE can play their part however small or large, lets just ensure WE DO play our part in which ever way that may be.

To those questioning my whereabouts... I was at work and out of the house from 7am yesterday and didn't have access to a computer at lunchtime as I sometimes do, then I was out to Wrexham doing a stint commentating on Crusaders v Warrington for Warrington Hospital Radio and only got back at around 11.30pm and hit the sack.

Watched Trevor Barton's interview this morning, listened to Basil's post match v Halifax as at the time had several deadlines to meet and missed him actually after the game.

This morning I've penned 4 articles for this next Dewsbury game, I've got another 2 on the go and am awaiting the other contributions to come in before I can edit the whole thing together.

So as you can tell, no chance to speak to anyone about those things yet. I have since emailed Trevor to wish him well in the new role and offering help in any way I can
