I know its difficult in a new home with a new venture, but lets offer a bit of friendly advice.

Folk won't pay to get into a soulless function room selling overpriced muck. I went in before the Haven game (I think it was) and thought I was at a wake so left and went to the Hotel instead. I wont be in a rush to return. I'll be honest, it was terrible.

Go into the Easts, Ellesmere, and Britannia on match day and see what they are doing that you are not. Good ales, homely environment, a few pictures on the walls perhaps, Sky Sports, panfulls of lobby. Simple, cheap, and cheerful.
