Super League XXIV Fixtures Released
The Super League XXIV fixtures were released a lunchtime so plans can now be made for the 2019 season which will kick off with the reigning champions the Wigan Warriors, against the minor premiers St Helens, in an opening round containing two televised derby games.
The opening fixture will be televised by SKY on the 31st January as a twenty-nine round programme gets underway including the six much discussed ‘loop’ fixtures.

Be tough for the travelling Catalans fans to battle up the English Channel on a Thursday night at rush hour. Can't see em bringing many. The RFL need to think this through better. |

Loop fixtures spread across backend of the season. I think ours are Saints, Salford and Wakefield at home with Hull KR, Catalans and Castleford away.
I guess fixtures are structured like that to accommodate clubs who rent their grounds and aren't the primary tenants so pitch relaying is done mid-season for them. |

I've renewed my ST but if I knew that the Club had increased the number of Saturday/Sunday fixtures I wouldn't have renewed. I work weekends so now I will miss 11 of our 29 games, why didn't the Club stick to Friday nights when most people are off work & kids are not at school the next day. If I'd have known that we were playing 11 games on a Sat/Sun as I've already said I would not have renewed because any financial benefits from getting a ST are more than offset by games being played on a Sat/Sun which I will miss. I've just checked my shifts & because we're playing on the Sat/Sun I will miss the home games against Leeds, HKR & Hull FC negating any benefit in me getting a ST.
Those of you on here who know me, will know I love the Wire but on this occasion the Club have got it wrong. |

Can we just accept that the it is IMPOSSIBLE for the club to appease everybody in terms of fixture days/dates. It's like some fans expect the club to ring around every supporter to get their shift pattern/parental status/drinking pattern before releasing the fixtures.

How do we get Wigan and Saints in the loop fixtures. I thought it was odd or even placed teams or are they using the placings after the GF ?

See my post on previous page. The loop fixtures are spread across the backend of the season rather than being the last six matches as you would have expected all things being even.
Our loop fixtures haven't spanned out too bad in my opinion - Hull KR, Catalans and Castleford away with Saints, Salford and Wakefield at home. |

Take your point about your circumstances and weekend games, but half of these games are away, and some Saturday fixtures are dictated by Sky. |

We have gained London who like Sunday home games.
We also have got Cas and Catalan (on the loop ... Away) who also go for daytime games.
So it's easy to see how we get change for Away trips.
Toronto would have made things a bit more difficult.
