| Zero Tackle is saying that he could be lured away to SL for the right offer. Time for Mr Moran to look in those deep pockets I think.

| Cue the obligatory - 'I spoke to Matt King/Joey Johns etc, and they couldn't speak highly enough about Warrington so I was sold!'

| No chance on this round I'd say, maybe once he's done his final big NRL deal. The reports linking him with SL are deliberate and put out by the agents of elite players in the NRL. They are looking for the NRL to match the marquee exemption and this is just part of the campaign to get that going. However it would be fun to see the fallout if he were to sign for Warrington or Salford (Lol).
But lets talk fantasy anyway, how much do you reckon he'd come over for? He's rumoured to be on $800,000 AU, which is around £400,000. To tempt him now you are looking at probably £600,000, - £750,000 per season? Imagine the faces of the board members when that much money went down with an injury.

| I can't think of a more high profile player than Inglis that will put bums on seats & sell replica jerseys, his own training range etc.
But I agree with the poster above about this just being 'agent-talk' for him to get a bigger deal in the NRL.

| He can play anywhere but I'd put him straight in at left centre and thank you Ryan.
Or
At FB and play Gidley at 13.

| We need a Half Back above all else.
We should not waste our Marquee Player spot on anything else.

| There's more chance of Shaun Wane getting an 'A' level in English than us signing a player at a level of Inglis.

Just as long as it isn't to Warrington.

| If a team was able to secure Inglis I'd say that it would be the biggest signing since Saints lured Meninga.
He would almost certainly draw a bigger interest to SL from subscription TV here and in Aus.
I think you would see every SL game from that team shown live each week on the tele, in the same way sky decided to show every Wire game on tele that featured Andrew Johns.
It could be a gamble worth the risk to a chairman, the extra TV monies and advertising revenue that would increase from it could heavily subsidise his contract demands.

| Inglis isn't the signing we need. As much as a star attraction he would be, wire don't need Inglis. We need a monster second rower and half back who knows how to play rugby league.

I don't watch the NRL so can you suggest why Sandow would be a poor signing for Wire? I though he was one of the NRL's most high profile names?

He's a maverick. Brilliant kicker, sound rugby knowledge and deceptively quick (for a short, chubby fella). Problem being, he doesn't do defence, well, not since the shoulder charge was outlawed. He is a bit of a mouth piece also, likes to vent his opinion. His latest rant being that he doesn't want to play structured rugby, stating that Parra would win more games if they played his way.
I think he could become a superstar, but you have to accept his turn style moments (much the same as Albert Kelly I suppose).

| Soward sounds fine to me then. We did ok with Briers' 'off the cuff' style. Its an entertainment business and I love watching players who can do something a bit different/special.

He's just been released by the Eels for publicly criticising the coach for not playing him the way he likes to play.
He was also released by the Titans in 2008 for poor discipline.

| I agree, entertaining as he may be, I'd approach with caution, one bad apple and all that.
That said, Brough wasn't too dissimilar to this profile when he joined Huddersfield

You could play without any half-backs, stick Inglis at full-back/centre and you'd probably win the league. He is that good.
