Has had a good season so far and carried that on last night, 1 try and 3 assists plus a full 80 minute performance of hard work. Let's hope he keeps it up

As for Currie ....he was excellent. Great running and great distribution.

Yeah Atkins was playing, ran for over 100m (Currie ran for 62m) but we don't like to point good things out by Atkins do we?

He can't / won't pass to his wing very often though. I think Currie is responsible for at least 50% of Ormsby's tries in this latest run he's been given.

Right up there at 1, 2 or 3 in all statistical areas for the team in Tries, Try Asists, Metres, and Tackles. He's fast, strong and has a good skill set. Yet I actually think he's underperforming (don't confuse that with playing poorly, because he's playing well!) - I honestly think there's an elite talent in this lad and if he had the confidence to express himself further I think he'd be one of the best in the league.

He's still young so maybe that confidence to show his talent will come as he matures.

I've made no secret of my admiration for Currie, and my belief he will go to the very top of the game and captain the P&B for years to come and I'm delighted he is now starting to show his abilities consistently, and with maturity.

I'm not going to have a pop at Atkins, I thought he did what he did very well last night, but the difference between Atkins & Currie is simple. Currie is a natural born rugby player and an exceptionally gifted athlete, whilst Atkins is simply a very good athlete. There is no comparison in terms of natural rugby abiltity.

That's not a criticism of Atkins, simply an acknowlegement that in Currie we have a real star of the game, who is naturally blessed with an array of talents and vast amounts of potential still to be realised.

To be honest I thought Atkins was OK but didn't do a lot so I was surpised at the stats Paul showed.
Fair enough to him.
Currie was a main factor in us winning though with his cut-out passes to Gene as I commented elsewhere.
(Maybe Moz recognised his importance and thats why he nearly took his head off!!)

Atkins peaked awhile ago and has never been back to his best which is a shame. He never stands out in a game anymore....BUT.....he never does anything wrong either. I think he's a very solid dependable player who does put a lot of effort in, I wouldn't leave him out of my team. I'm not a massive fan of Currie to be honest as I think he has been hugely over hyped......until this year. I've seen the skill everyone talks about and I genuinely think he is getting better every game, so I think I've finally been put in my place about him which is a good thing
