Been a great player for us and I'm genuinely gutted he's leaving. Had the pleasure to have met him a on a few occasions and he's a real gentleman. Was stood with his wife & children at the 2011homecoming. She just couldn't believe the passion & support of the Warrington fans.
What ever he does I wish him all the very best, just not against us if he continues to play in SL.

Noooooooooo ! Absolute gent and quality full back. Does more for the team than people think.

Cue the stats brigade to come and dismiss his contribution

I need to find a new favourite player.

I suppose it's that time in a teams lifespan where there is going to be a great deal of change. However, it still doesn't make it any easier to accept that we are going to lose what is arguably the heart of our team at the end of this season. With Moz, Carvs, Brett, Tyke and the rest leaving, it's going to be strange at the HJ next season. All the best Brett, and thank you.

Someone's tweeted that he's off to Catalans as an assistant. Can't see that one myself unless their coach is getting the bullet for one of Brett's old friends.

Sad to see him go as he offers a huge amount to the team, but at least now we have a quality replacement at full back in Stef. I reckon he'll retire, he's taken a battering off all sorts in the past couple of seasons, so it might be his body's not up to it.

I sincerely hope he's not going to Salford, because to see him and Moz line up against us would be gutting, as well as the flagrant disregard for the salary cap that the good doctor has.

Good luck to him and thanks for the memories, what a brilliant servant to the club he has been. It doesn't seem like yesterday he made his first appearance at a freezing cold LSV and kicked goals from all over the park, how exciting that was after the number of games we had lost due to kicking the year before.

For me Hodgson is a true man of steel, the way he gets up from some of the hits put on him will never cease to amaze me! Thoroughly nice bloke too, will be missed!

Agree with Ganson, his superb kicking certainly eased the pressure in close games and also superb when joining the line in attack.

It is not that much of a surprise to me, he seemed to be picking up more knocks of late due in part to his bravery but also I fear father time is calling.

A great player, been a privilege to watch and I wish him all the best in what he chooses to do

Any idea why he's leaving and what he's going to do?

I'm genuinely surprised he's leaving but maybe one hit too many this year.

I'd be gutted if he went to another SL team.

As has been said elsewhere his vision and organizational abilities are 2nd to none. Far better than Ratch. (That's not a go at Ratch).

Ratch is a very strong runner - stronger than Hodgeson - and excellent broken field player.

Hodgeson also comes out on top for kicking. I think he's unquestionably our biggest loss.

Pound for pound, the toughest and bravest barsteward i've ever seen, and i started watching in the 80's.

Gutted! A great player...just wish we'd got him in earlier. Lets hope he leaves us wearing a Gf ring. Good luck Brett with whaterver you do.

They will probably come out with some rubbish that we are not experienced enough now. :CRAZY It's going to be odd next season. Hope we get one or two more bodies in for next season.

3 big salaries I would imagine going there

Didn't we announce 11 contract extensions though the other month? Players like Atkins, Hill and others are probably getting a slice of the departing players cash I imagine.

While the likes of M Monaghan and Briers's salaries will be heading downwards.... I think the Featherstone lad and Ben Jones Bishop are pretty much nailed on.

Brett Hodgson has signed for swinton Wolves.

From what I hear, hes pretty gutted because he isnt playing tomorrow, in favour of Ratch. Hes been great for us, but I think this is the right call.

Assistant to Tony Rea next year iv heard. He wont be playing for anyone else......
