I quite like Thierry. I think he was let down by his TJ's and the fourth official both times he gave the extra tackle. Ian Smith has made far worse errors as the VR and he hasn't had any punishment.

He's usually good for us as he tends to let the game flow.

We've had him for our last 2 home games and he was booed off at half and full time in them both

Wakey at home is when he gave one of his infamous extra tackles, which we scored off of to win the game.

I remember us getting beat for the most of that game

Pretty sure we were, aye. I didn't go but kept up with the score on the BBC live scores thing. It was 32-30 in the end. Poor Wakefield.

Wonder how many will place blame on Mr. Alibert as A contributing factor to missing out on the top 8 for Wakey, they've had a real good last few weeks.

Alibert is one of the better refs in the league, he just made one mistake that was unfortunately costly. If we hadn't scored on that tackle nobody would have blinked. I'm sure there was another game (Hudders away maybe?) when we only got 5 tackles in a set of some other ref.

I cant help but s every time I hear a Frenchman shout "surrender"

Not sure of the game but wasn't it Thaler, and Bridge was caught in possessing thinking we had one more tackle.

Why the change?

Yep it was a Sky game. Sky screwed up the graphics update and the official in the stands must have looked at the graphic and got in to the ref's ear (think it was Silverwood?), who can then be heard to say "Are you sure?" before then adding another one to the running count. Not really the ref's fault that one, more the over reliance on the TV pictures from the man in the stand I'd say.
