I get the impression that he is doing a nice job of provoking a reaction so the eventual sale happens sooner rather than later.

I'm still not convinced by Chase in terms of him being a really top player. He's not a one season wonder ala Penny, but his peak may be more like 2 or 3 seasons, who knows, but just a thought.

I didn't think Tony Smith liked trouble markers,so it makes this signing all the more baffling..

Heard from a Bradford fan who is well in the know that Wire have signed Bateman and Whitehead from the Bulls.

Rangi is a good player, but i can't honestly say I think he'd fit in with us.
Lee has a year or more to offer and that'll be good for GOB and Mylers development.

Wouldn't want Chase in the P&B but Bateman and Clark would be terrific.

Given the current status of Bradford Bulls, statements from the administrator and general disclosure of their liabilities you would have to believe that if this was the case then it would have been made public by now.

As things stand Cas have no intentions of letting Clark go, Hence why his transfer request wasn't even considered. So there is no done deal.

As for Chase, As said. He was out on Friday, In Xscape with Joe Westerman. The club have a strict 72 hour drinking ban before games. He obviously wanted to be seen. Thats all that is confirmed.

There are all sorts of other rumours doing the rounds as you can imagine. Suggesting there were issues regarding the police from the same night. The club as said are investigating

I wouldn't even consider Clark at the moment. He's had a season ending injury and would need to prove his long term fitness first.

Apparently BBC are saying that Bradford will be allowed to complete their season so nothing may happen before October anyway.

That would be my take as well. TS seems very keen on a rounded professional who takes responsibility for himself, sets an example for the other players - particularly juniors, and has a positive lifestyle. The number of times we have seen the website showing players visiting prisons, drug rehab centres etc etc is testament to the fact that he takes all this very seriously. So I would be surprised if we signed Rangi as well. I do think he is a class player and playing wise, would be a great signing, but I don't think he fits in. On a personal note, I agree with Deckchair, I would prefer that he didn't come.

Agreed. If they had signed, the combined fee would have been approx. £500k. Bradford were looking for a further £1.2 million for the year (see liabilities ) of which they had secured £800k. Hence any signing would have covered their debts and they would not be in administration.

Why would you go and get ed at Xscape? This would be like hearing that Myler and Ratchford had spent a night on the round LA Bowl.

How do we know Rangi Chase has a bad attitude and a trouble maker? Just because of stuff written on the internet.

The internet has said Lee Briers has been badder than Guns N Roses for the past ten years, and as for being suspended wasn't Briers himself dropped for an 'internal disciplinary matter' earlier in the season.

If we are going to have this new ethos of being moral paragons then I think we have to shift Lee Briers on, what if his attitude rubs off on the rest of the squad....?

Well if Richard Wright tells me it's true (directly or indirectly) then that is that - he'll see every day of that contract out.

Yes there's no doubt that Clark will remain a Cas player for the next five years and he'll soon forget why he wanted to leave, and focus on winning trophies with Cas. I doubt Cas are interested in selling him for a fee, given how motivated he is for playing for them, they'll keep him there for five years and then will part company on good terms when he leaves on a free transfer.
