With such a big squad with what I think is fantastic strength in depth, I started to wonder who would be my first choice 17. Just imagine all the players are fit and available for selection and We are in the Grand Final tomorrow, who would make your seventeen?

We have a great squad. That 17 is as good as the next one that will be picked in this thread.

The fact neither Wood or Cooper have made it into your squad just shows how strong we are.

I will wait and see Big Dave play before making any rash decisions about his potential to be selected in the 17.

And Myler must go back to 7 when fit. People have short memories.

I might interchange Woody and Coops on the bench depending on form. I would also keep an eye on Carvells form with a view to moving Harrison up front, but on current standing, you have my vote Wolfy.

i cannot remember ever having this depth of strength before and the fact ratch has been forced on the bench says alot aswell as he has been class this year

Yep, its looking good. But considering we may lose 2/3 of the older players this year, its just as well I suppose.

We can also add to that list the possibility of bringing Bridge, Laithwaite, Duffy, Riley and who knows what others through from the 'u20s'. Plus new signings ?

thats right this is what I like about the Warrington squad this year, its not so much like a first 17 any more there's a squad of players all equally capable and lots of pressure for places, you could probably select two equally strong first teams and they would be just as good

the strength in depth is a myth, we have a strong first 17 and then some very ordinary second raters like we did in the Cullen era

Bridge will be doing well to keep his place over Ratchford at the minute. Ratchford was one of our very few performers tonight.
