| Whilst this match is really important as we all want together back to Wembly, I have been thinking about the financial side as well. If we get to Wembly, then our share of the gate money from what will almost certainly be a 75,0000 plus gate will be around £1million. Then we will also get further money from merchandising.
So the cc semi, if we win it means big money. I think the ground extension cost us around £2million. In just one game we could pay off half the cost of the extension, or buy 3-4 high quality players !

| From memory, the cash windfall from a Wembley appearance isn't as great as you would expect.
I think in 2009 the club said that we 'made' £200,000 in total including gate receipts and things like shirt sales etc.

True, but if the gate really is 750000 as stated in the OP, we can expect the amount the clubs get to be considerably larger than 2009 or 2010.

I was just making some crude guesses, eg 30,000 species @ £35 per head would gives us just over £1million, with the other 15,000 species to pay off the cost of the stadium usage - but I have no idea how accurate this is.
Does anybody have any hard data ??

| I would suspect that we made a lot more money than the club lets on. Our appearence in 1990 enabled us to buy 3 world class RU players plus wipe out a chunk of our debt.
Saints used to pay for their team on the basis that they would at least get to Wembley (not any more though )

| Maybe we will need it to keep us afloat.
Rogues Gallery and his Wigan mates were telling us a year or so ago that the taxman was knocking on our door and the winding up orders would soon be issued. I don't know how we have made it through this far.

Shhhhh ! We handed out a few 'Take That' concert tickets to our friends at the tax office and Robert is your fathers brother, the problem disappeared.
