Don't be daft! everybody knows Pat Richards is the best winger in the world.
On a serious note, Uate is pure class! and easily the best winger in the world on current form.
Although i'd love to see Jason Nightingale in the primrose & blue, another top class winger.

Was he that great tonight? I thought he looked a little dodgy although he will scare the life out of me with ball in hand next week if our chase isn't switched on (Not Rangi by the way). He's fast and strong but made a couple of errors.
The Aussie cover defence shifting over to New Zealands right side attack tonight was scary! The pace at which guys like Boyd, Lawrence, Thaiday and Slater were flying over and in numbers was brilliant to watch.

I understand what you are saying but one of the reasons the Aussies and Kiwis produce better halfbacks than we do is that their game is not dominated by the one dimensional dummy half scoots that Stevo loves. They also have hookers who can pass a ball and kick effectively from dummy half. Cameron Smith was m.o.m. by a mile last night for the way he controlled that game. |

I chuckled when the Aussie coach also blamed the referee for the slow ptb - when it was his side, presumably playing to his instructions, who were the worst offenders. |

Is Uate the Aussie equivalent of Rangi Chase....they only got his citizenship pushed through a couple of weeks ago so he could play in this series: www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/ ... 6173459505
Uate does look an exciting player although it has taken him a while to come through, he's the same age as Inglis and 2 years older than Folau, he didn't get going as a first teamer till he was 22.
I remember before the 2008 World Cup when he was in the Fiji squad, there was an article in the Aussie press where Andrew Johns said Uate was the best athlete he'd ever seen in rugby league, which caused a bit of a storm because Uate had only played a few first team games at the time. |
