Just out interest, as the second half was ticking away on friday night, how did it actually feel watching it sat down? Tension wise i mean.

I only ask, as that was the most excruciating, perversely pleasurable, nervous, intense environment i've ever watched a rugby match.

Where i was stood in the south was jam packed, literally bugger all room to breath or move and the tension was pretty bloody unbearable as we were tradiing scores and when we went behind. I know theres arguments for and against terracing but i can't imagine being sat down during that and having the same experience.

For some of us with health problems that are unable to stand that length of time there is not much option. I can assure you the tension was just as great, having watched wire for over 35 years maybe that is the reason for my dodgy heart

It was exactly the same in the North stand ... But with a little more comfort .

I've never understood this idea that a sporting event is somehow more exciting or more tense if you are standing rather than sitting.
I think the tension on Friday night came from the fact that it was knock out rugby league and it was a tight match with so much on the line and you had 2 teams giving their absolute all and neither of them could pull away.
Wouldn't have mattered one bit where you were sitting or standing on Friday night, the way the game was played and the scoreline would have had everyone feeling the tension.
It was an emotional rollercoaster and I would even argue that Warrington and Leeds fans watching it live on Sky would have felt it just as much in the pubs or at home!

I was standing for the last 20 minutes in front of the telly at 1130 at night.

I was sat directly infront of Brian McDermott (plenty of sky appearances for me) and it was even worse as I was hearing everything being said, but couldn't do anything about it. He spotted the weakness in grix and bridge before they missed their tackles, and instructed plays to be targeted at them. He was right.

Haha! Trust me, if there was a way I could, I would have been relaying every message. Painful at times, I should have done more to distract him. I apologise all Wire fans for an opportunity missed! It's all my fault!
