Not been to a semi where we haven't been vocal and drowned out the other side but this doesn't have a normal feel of a semi with it being at home.

I agree with SM on this. This game is absolutely massive and the fans need to be more vocal than they've ever been, including me, who I admit, is happy to usually watch in peace and allow everyone else to create the atnosphere.

Perhaps, just for good measure, they should set up 'Stella Artois' tents outside each set of turnstiles and offer free pints to anybody over the age of 6, man, woman or child?

Or perhaps that's a little over the top!

2002 against Wakefield

2002. We were in very real danger of relegation but managed to secure our place in the league before the final game of the season thankfully. I still say we were playing comfortably the worst rugby in the league that year and genuinely have no idea how we managed to survive.

I remember being at Widnes one year there was no music for few mins during the warm up it was just a volley of songs between us and them, it was great.

Actually going to e-mail the club and see if this is poss for just this game and quote what Moran has said, not holding my breath though.

I've been saying this since we were at Wilderspool, the atmosphere would start to build and then we'd have music blasted at us, and everyone just shut up.

I will be very upset to say the least if I travel circa 120 miles and don't get my Duran Duran fix before kick off!!!

Simon was disappointed with the 10,006 for the game against Hudds. That is where this has come from. ST holders not getting this game included obviously dents the numbers. I think 10k considering Hudds only brought a few hundred was reasonable really.
Yes the league leaders shield was being presented however I dont think that was heavily advertised beforehand, I can imagine your average fan being unaware.
I'd expect Leeds to bring 1-2k so 11-12k isnt bad really.

I thought the crowd against Hudds was reasonably good and the poor shows at Wigan must have made Simon Moran think slightly differently about it. What he said about us packing the HJ on Friday is spot on for me. The players deserve all our support after a fantastic SL season. COME ON WIRE!!!!!

And on top of this with what's at stake if the crowd cant lift the roof for this one, there is something seriously wrong!

totally agree on what is said about the music...it needs killing off pre-match....or not so loud! The only atmosphere you are going to get is quite from the crowd as the music drowns out everything! Give the crowd a chance!

I sent a e-mail to Andy Gatcliffe who passed it onto to Andy Topham who is head of matchday operations at the HJ who said "I'll pass your comments with regards to dropping the music down on to the matchday sound engineers/DJ for inclusion in their brief for the game"

Nice to get a quick response from the club hopefully they will at least drop the sound down abit on Friday.
